The 1942 Knucklehead model FL is the high performance 74 cubic inch 48 horsepower machine that was advertised as weighing 535 pounds and capable of a top speed of 105 mph.
Only 799 civilian model Harley Big Twins were built in 1942 due to the US entering the war. Wonder how many are still around and running and not in personal museums or private
collections? That makes this a very rare, low production machine. These pre-war OHV Knuckleheads and seldom come up for sale. Here is one with great VIN stamps and pad, and matching belly numbers. Pretty much all the 1942 Harley Big Twins (Knuckleheads and Flatheads) would have been built prior to the December bombing of Pearl Harbor, because after that most of Harley's activities were in support of the war effort.
A regular rider, this FL kickstarts easily, idles well, shifts and rides as it should. Decent brakes, good charging, nice handling, and no mechanical surprises. Most of the bike is genuine Harley-Davidson parts, other than the aftermarket speedometer, floorboard inserts, 12-volt
generator (for better lights and night riding) and muffler. Easy to switch back to 6-volts if desired. Genuine Harley headlight, genuine Harley forks, frame, tins (repainted), tank badges, Linkert carb, engine and transmission.
Looks to be real Harley air cleaner and saddle. It starts right up with little effort, idles and runs well through all the gears. Tracks smooth and straight down the road and is about as issue-free as you could expect from a 77 year old motorcycle. Clean title.

Restored professionally and looks great.
Beautiful 1962 BMW R 60/2 Motor cycle with 30, 349 kilometers. This is a number's Matching bike from the engine to the frame and the title. The bike has recently been gone through with a complete engine rebuild, New Pistons, New rings, Slinger's were cleaned, and Crank was inspected and was in great condition.
Heads were rebuilt with new valves, new guides, new springs etc. The headers are brand new as well as the exhaust pipes. New Battery, Carburetors are both new. Tires are Michelin and like new. Brakes are in great condition. This bike sat for many years So i didn't want to take a chance on running it without proper inspection and I decided to just do a engine rebuild so I knew that everything was done and done right.
The bike starts on the first kick and runs very smooth. The paint is excellent the fenders are like new and the hand painted strip is also like new. The Tank is also Excellent with one minor scratch that was touched up. All the Chrome is like new and the rims are steel and in good condition. I have clear title and key for the tool box and ignition.

Completely disassembled with new paint on frame and body parts.
Engine and transmission were completely disassembled and rebuilt. No cost was spared and every bearing, bushing and worn part was replaced. Only original parts were used if available. Some parts like front and rear fenders, seat and saddlebags were sourced from American craftsmen
because good originals were not available. The wheel rims are original and have been re-chromed and respoked with Buchanan spokes. The engine, transmission, oil pump, generator, frame, distributor and gas tank are original. This Indian Chief was restored to a dependable riding condition.
After completion it was ridden 3000 miles, without any mechanical breakdowns. There was no back up vehicle or trailer along on the trip, just riding day after day at 60 miles per hour. Was a great trip with great comments from onlookers at every stop. The trip of a lifetime! Recently replaced the battery and got it running. Still runs great. Original mileage is unknown, speedo mileage is not accurate. Has about 3500 to 4000 miles since restoration.
