Responsible for the conception, development, justification and implementation of manufacturing processes to achieve corporate objectives in safety, quality, costs, and delivery. Interacts with all plant engineering and shop floor personnel. Accountable for defining, planning and executing continuous improvement projects by leveraging solid project management skills and the activities of plant engineers and personnel.

Conceives and implements projects to meet growth and productivity initiatives in support of corporate profitability objectives. Leads activities to improve production and equipment through application of lean manufacturing concepts.

Supports and may lead the design of safe processes and equipment. Provides continuous improvement ideas based on current and new technologies, and effectively communicates engineering information to plant personnel. Able to work in a fast-paced environment with high profile exposure to plant management and corporate executive management. Travel required, 10 to 20 %PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The characteristics listed below are representative of the physical demands

required by an individual to successfully perform the essential duties of this position.

Excellent communication skills including verbal and written. Proficient in training and mentoring associate and mid-level engineers. Proficient in project management with minimal functional guidance.

Supervises the administrative staff and ensures development and overall success of the employee and the unit. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the day to day JIT operations. This involves daily interaction with manufacturing, scheduling, process improvement and other functions required by the Just in time process.

Establish appropriate budgets. Direct management reporting of key performance indicators. Manage the scheduling and work flow of the cell. Provide direction and leadership to the administrative staff Direct process improvement to reduce costs and improve quality. Set and maintain appropriate quality measures and process specifications to achieve the quality expectation.

Experience Required: Front line Leader - 2 - 3 years - To become proficient in people skills and the administering of company policies and procedures. Manager - 2 Years - To become proficient in basic managerial concepts including budgeting, goal setting, and departmental interface. The incumbent will need to be proficient in basic management functions, JIT philosophy and practices, team building, as well as in-depth knowledge of card conversion operations.
