INITIATIVE Considerable initiative and responsibility for planning details of procedure, including heat, pressure, strength of welds, degrees of hardness and wear resistance qualities in heat treating various metals and in a wide application of principles of sheet metal working.
Unusual problems should be referred to supervisor. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Moderately heavy work in making repairs. Distribution of all work over various jobs; however, generally involves only moderate effort. Works in standing position; at times requires frequent lifting and handling of medium castings. Chain hoists available for lifting heavy work. Some heavy lifting, push/pulling on occasion. Some work must be performed in an awkward position. Employees working in this position are required to frequently walk or hear.
The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
