to support City public works operations, public access to information, Planning and Community Development services, and records management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential duties also include Core Competencies described in detail in the job descriptions.

Maintains the City's GIS system, data, and mapping. Supports various departments with geospatial analysis. Maintains internal mapping and data management accessible to employees. Maintains various public maps to share on the City's website. Participates in and/or leads the development and advancement of GIS technology,

system architecture, and orderly data management. May work with a variety of staff levels and departments to assist with data acquisition, data editing, and data analysis.

Assists with work in the field with geospatial recording of information associated with utility and street infrastructure systems. Assists with applying land surveying principles in the application of GIS in a City environment based on the land record system. Assists Planning and Public Works Departments in strategic planning associated with existing and future land use and infrastructure. Assist other staff with the creation of figures, maps, drawings, and images for grant submittals. GIS I - Technician 2024 base pay

range: $26.97-30.53 2024 total pay range: $26.97-34.19 (includes maximum potential longevity pay) Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED Valid WA State driver's license and ability to maintain a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier 1 year working experience in related field or equivalent education Preferred qualifications 2+ years' experience working in the field of GIS.

Graduation from undergraduate or graduate program with certificates in data management systems, GIS, or equivalent fields GIS II - Analyst 2024 base pay range: $35.54-40.37 2024 total pay range: $35.54-45.21 (includes maximum potential longevity pay) Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED Valid WA State driver's license and ability to maintain a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier 3 years working experience in related field or equivalent education Preferred qualifications 5+ years' experience working in the field of GIS Graduation from undergraduate or graduate program with certificates in data management systems, GIS, or equivalent fields GIS III - Coordinator 2024 base pay range: $37.80-45.73 2024 total pay range: $37.80-51.22 (includes maximum potential longevity pay) Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED Valid WA State driver's license and ability to maintain a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier 8 years working experience in related field or equivalent education Preferred qualifications 9+ years' experience working in the field of GIS Graduation from undergraduate or graduate program with certificates in data management systems, GIS, or equivalent fields WORKING CONDITIONS Work is conducted in both an office and field environment.

Fieldwork is performed at times to review sites, collect data, and observe construction progress. Physical effort may be required to lift equipment and system parts up to 50 pounds.

Occasional fieldwork and reconnaissance in ravines or other more rugged terrain. This position requires vision and hearing at level required to perform essential functions (may be corrected) and a full range of motor skills. Details can be found in the Collective Bargaining Agreement : Longevity pay on a graduated schedule starting at 2% after 5 years up to 12% after 25 years Overtime pay Compensatory time Jury duty pay at regular rate during service Teamsters initiation fee is $100 and monthly dues are 2.25 of hourly wage x the base hourly rate rounded to the nearest dollar.
