While the order is being prepared, checks on guests and refills beverages. Once the meal is ready, verifies order accuracy and quickly serves to the customer. During the duration of the guest meal, maintains contact with the guests insuring all needs and requests are courteously and efficiently

addressed. Once the main course is concluded, removes dishes from the table and pleasantly offers dessert options followed by the delivery of the final bill.

Pleasantly and professionally answers phone calls to the restaurant and handles appropriately. Assists the hosts as necessary with seating guests, ensuring rotation of sections throughout the restaurant. Role Overview : This position is for an intermittent employee of the Indiana Statehouse Tour Office (IDOA). Tour guides are the frontline representatives and ambassadors for the State of Indiana, meeting and greeting visitors during working hours. They staff the Information Desk and conduct guided tours of the building. A Day in the Life: The essential functions of this role are as follows: Providing accurate information while staffing the desk and conducting tours. This

is an on-site position. Present themselves professionally while interacting with in-person visitors and coworkers, and inquiries on the phone or via e-mail.

Becoming familiar with Indiana history, the Indiana Statehouse, the three branches of government and the workings of state government, the Indianapolis community (especially as it relates to giving directions), and Indiana at large. Participating in special programming as needed. Other reasonable duties as requested by the manager or coordinator. Physical requirements: Must be able to climb stairs and stand/walk on marble floor. Busy days may require up to 12 flights of stairs and several miles of walking.

Some lifting (up to 20 pounds) may be required. 90-95% of time will be indoors. There may be occasion to meet or escort a group outside briefly. Must be comfortable speaking clearly in a public setting. Maintaining a helpful and friendly attitude to visitors of all ages and backgrounds while remaining completely non-partisan on the job. Duties & Responsibilities: Plan, organize and direct the work of cooks and other team members engaged in the procurement, storage, preparation and serving of food Assist in preparation of budget estimates and justifications for the food service program Plan and direct the ordering, receiving and accounting of all food products, supplies and equipment for food operation Evaluate existing operational methods and procedures of food service program for effectiveness and efficiency, initiating changes as necessary Interview, select, manage and develop hourly team members Oversee the food safety to ensure full compliance

Repeats the order, suggestive sells, and asks the guest to verify the order for accuracy on the drive-thru screen. Although, the thoroughness of taking the order and insuring it is complete and accurate is extremely important, it is equally important to move the guest to the window as quickly as possible to efficiently move the drive-thru line, enabling the prompt handling of the guests behind them.

Smiles and greets the guest, repeating the order and total. Collects payment and distributes change. Before presenting the order, double checks the order

for quality and accuracy, eliminating any errors as best as possible while making sure the order is delivered in a timely fashion and is packed appropriately in accordance with guidelines.

The customer is always thanked and encouraged to return. A specific job function role within the drive-thru is assigned each shift by the Drive-Thru Leader. Whether the role for the shift is that of fountain operator, cashier, boxer/bagger, or order taker, the Drive-Thru Attendant is expected to assist team members as necessary and time permits, to ensure smooth accurate and quick movement of customers through the drive-thru.
