Our DC Human Resources teams are comprised of problem solvers and specialists who are responsible for payroll, employee relations, talent acquisition, leave of absence and benefits as well as engaging and inspiring associates.

The Opportunity Handle the clerical/administrative function within the Human Resources department Update and maintain the HRIS to include personnel files, profiles, new hire paperwork, and personnel change status Respond to in-person, over the phone, and emailed associate inquiries regarding HR related concerns in a timely manner, provide clarification of information to associates and follow-up on request documentation Assist with recruitment and onboarding efforts for the DC by supporting/facilitating General Warehouse Associate large-scale interview sessions, extending job offers, and/or supporting/facilitating orientation sessions for new hires Create new hire personnel

Conduct analysis of records for appropriate documentation and adherence to Army and United States Army Reserve Command (USARC) requirements.

Identify program deficiencies and make recommendations for resolution. Review and process military personnel records and actions through various automated systems. Monitor compliance with regulations, personnel readiness, and assists in review of unit status reports. Provide guidance to supported units on administrative aspects of military personnel management

programs. Develop unit administrative actions, such as military correspondence, reports, military orders and personnel actions. Prepare briefings to provide management concerning the status of military personnel actions and program requirements and for use in the decision making process.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e. g. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes interpreting and providing guidance on personnel policies and procedures; processing personnel or pay actions; utilizing clerical or administrative procedures to complete reports and/or correspondence; and conducting staff inspections to ensure unit readiness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Human Resource Management or Business Administration.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18.
