Prepare daily and yearly plans of all curricular activities of the class. Develop and maintain a daily program chart and record of students as it pertains to other classroom programs (i. e. Chapter 1, Special Education, Gifted and Talented, etc. ) Prepare and display a schedule of all curricular activities of the class. Evaluate each child's progress and plan instructional methods accordingly. Maintain and keep
all necessary records for each student. Keep records of attendance of students to be reported daily. Cooperate with colleagues and administration, in program development and teaching activities.
Initiate motivation and positive atmosphere for the utmost learning of each student. Report regularly to the parent/guardian in regard to their child's progress. Administer discipline in accordance to the Board Policy of the Meskwaki Settlement School. Attend regularly all meetings of the staff convened by the Principal. Carry out supervising responsibilities as assigned by the Principal. Create and assist with extra curricular activities. Create and assist with Language/Cultural activities. As
needed, serve on the curriculum committee to help achieve a curriculum that is beneficial to the Meskwaki Settlement School.
This will serve the intellectual, cultural, physical, social and emotional development of each student. Provide daily supervision, guidance and work as a tea. Monitor student behavior and initiate corrective action as required. Take training in programs that are necessary for the well being of each child (i. e. First Aide, Mandatory Reporter, Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR) Will be directly responsible and be under the direct supervision of the Principal. Follow the teacher Code of Ethics. REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a Bachelor's Degree and Certification required by the Bureau of Indian Education and the State of Iowa.
