Advise the business and other members of the legal organization on contract interpretation, including in connection with claims and disputes arising out of the company's business relationships, and provide overflow litigation and pre-litigation support for the same. Develop improved processes for efficiently handling contractual matters within the company, utilizing available technology while helping to creatively identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business partners and legal department members. Basic & Preferred Qualifications Position Qualifications Licensed attorney with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a law firm or corporate law department, handling a wide variety of commercial contracting and real estate matters.
Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements. Knowledge and ability to support real estate transactions and holdings, including purchases, sales, easements, and leases. Experience in the following substantive areas of law is a plus: food law (or similarly regulated spaces); international/export law; real estate; agriculture; manufacturing; and, litigation. Excellent negotiation skills and strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with business clients in a collaborative environment to understand and achieve stated business objectives.
