Create and submit weekly lesson plans within the established timeline; revise lesson plans using feedback from the SABES Coach(es) Coordinate with SABES Staff afterschool provider and mentors to facilitate STEM afterschool curriculum. environment adhering to safety guidelines and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Prepare materials for STEM lessons and coordinate with the SABES Coach(es) to order necessary supplies. Support students in the planning and design of presentations for STEM Showcases Attend and support annual STEM Showcases Training/Professional Development Participate in required training retreat (1/year) professional development (1-2 times per month) and staff meetings (JHU and/or afterschool partner as required) Assist SABES afterschool coaches in presenting training materials based on expertise. Complete all required online trainings and ensure compliance with the JHU Safety of Children in University Programs policy.

Reporting/Communicating Complete and submit weekly reports providing updates on progress implementation and concerns at assigned SABES site(s) to SABES coach(es) Review and confirm SABES mentor schedules each month. Regularly communicate with mentors regarding lesson plan implementation and support Create and maintain student and mentor attendance reports. Collaborate with Site Coordinator to ensure consistent effective implementation of the SABES program with topics such as drawing connections to monthly themes logistical concerns and student behavior.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelors Degree focused on STEM or education degree or currently enrolled at a college/university pursuing a degree in related subjects. This combination of expertise creates a unique opportunity to turn public health research into action that reduces deaths and injuries from gun violence. The Center is seeking a State Affairs Manager to work directly with the Director of Policy and Programming and policy and programming team to help craft and execute state-level policy

work for a variety of states. Additionally, the Advocacy Manager will manage engagement with state policymakers and national and state advocacy collaborators.

The Advocacy Manager will coordinate with legal staff and research faculty for bill drafting and educational materials. This position reports to the Director of Policy and Programming. This is a full-time, hybrid post (2 days a week) in either Washington, DC or Baltimore, MD. Specific Duties & Responsibilities Manage and execute state legislative policy strategy for priority partner states. Lead and coordinate weekly internal Center advocacy call. Engage with policymakers on priority policy issues to provide public health resources,

Cultivate and promote short and long“range planning in collaboration with the Executive Director for On-Campus Living. Collaborate with the Executive Director to backss the departmental structure, including staffing recruitment and retention. Collaborate and partner within On-Campus Living and with key university partnerships. This

senior level position leads a team of principal and major gift development officers who primarily work with individual donors capable of gifts between $500,000and $5,000,000+ including current use, endowment, and planned gifts.

The Senior Director of Principal and Major Gifts also carries a donor portfolio. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Program Design and Implementation 15% Design, implement, manage, and backss a comprehensive strategy for principal and major gift-level donors. Serve as a strategic partner and internal counsel to the Associate Dean, helping shape short- and long-term strategy, annual work plan goals and overall implementation of the schools comprehensive fundraising

program. Advise on fundraising strategies with development colleagues who are managing their own portfolio of principal and major gift prospects including: pipeline management, alumni relations, volunteer engagement, and stewardship.

Oversee the monthly Development Team Meeting (DTM) and the monthly Major Gift Team meetings. Collaborate with the Development Communications team on proposals related to specific fundraising projects and high-level stewardship events. Collaborate with the Director of Alumni Relations to organize annual activities which the major gift officers would facilitate while visiting assigned prospects, in identified priority cities/regions.

Support the involvement of School leadership in the development process, in collaboration with the academic liaison program manager, to include engagement, solicitation, and stewardship. Lead key comprehensive fundraising initiatives (ex. school wide student scholarship campaigns), as assigned by the Associate Dean, from conception to execution. Oversee the development of related marketing materials and manage related cultivation events and special projects. Within these comprehensive campaigns: Oversee execution of specific activities, as assigned to members of the principal and major gifts team.

Develop SMART goals to track the teams progress. Present progress to the overall team, as well as school leadership, as requested. Team Management 30% Lead, coach and advise a team of development officers to effectively execute a customized qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plan for principal and major gift level donors to maximize donor satisfaction and retention. The team currently includes two direct reports (Associate Director of Major Gifts and the Director of Principal Gifts) and four in-direct reports who lead the fundraising teams efforts and are based in Centers (the Center for Indigenous Health, the Center for Gun Violence Solutions, Center for Global Women's Health and the Gender Equity along with a fundraiser in the Department of International Health.

) In consultation with the Associate Dean, create yearly work plan (fundraising) goals for the principal and major gifts team, rolling up to the divisions overall work plan goals. Recruit and onboard development officers who directly report to the Sr. Director. In collaboration with the BSPH Pipeline Development team, assign and monitor development officers portfolios and fundraising territories. Specific Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for leadership and management of the office, including development of new programs and policies. Expand innovative curricular opportunities including programming and workshops for undergraduates in addition to individual advising appointments. Support student efforts to connect with community service opportunities, summer academic enrichment, post-baccalaureate

enhancement, and masters programs. Support student efforts in their applications to law schools as well as pre-health pathways beyond medical school.

Maintain relationships with academic departments and administrative units in the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, Whiting School of Engineering, and Homewood Student Affairs. Liaise with JHUs Associate Vice Provost for Graduate Diversity and Partnership to build stronger connections between KSAS and the School of Medicine, as well as external organizations such as the Leadership Alliance. Represent Johns Hopkins to medical, law, and other professional schools and their professional associations, both as a spokesperson for the program

as well as an advocate for applicants. Partner with the JUMP program (Johns Hopkins Underrepresented in Medical Professions) to fulfill the Offices core mission to support students from underrepresented populations “ particularly the universitys FLI community (first generation, limited income) success in careers in medicine and the health professions for students from underrepresented populations.

Serve as chairperson of the Pre-Health Advisory Board, member of the Vice Dean for Undergraduate Education Leadership Team, and a key member of the Pre-Health Academy. Be responsible for the overall the management of staff, budget, and strategic initiatives; and ensuring continuing backssment of programs and services.

Pursue professional development opportunities through engagement with the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (NAAHP) and/or other relevant organizations. Experience liaising admissions teams in medical schools. Have a working knowledge of academics and academic institutions including knowledge of the medical school application process, pre-health pathways, Committee Letters, and mentoring students through these processes. Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree or equivalent in professional experience. 5 years of strong leadership experience within pre-health advising.
