A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CNC MACHINIST As a CNC Machinist, you're responsible for taking full command of our CNC machining process, which includes milling, turning, and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of materials and tool selection for proper application.

Throughout the manufacturing process, you machine large, complex parts as well as use a range of set-up techniques to ensure optimum quality and productivity. You maintain a thorough understanding of work fixture offsets and how to program different features. Additionally, you perform advanced metal-cutting operations and inspections of your own work products.

You demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, continuous improvement, and a desire to achieve established quality and productivity levels. As needed, you attend work cell and company meetings. You also correctly fill out non-conforming part reports (NCRs) as well as develop process instructions that identify operations, tool sequences, fixtures, speeds, and feeds for parts requiring any kind of machining operation.
