Inspired Packaging. A World of Difference. We are seeking candidates to join our company as a Plant Manager of the Pineville, NC converting plant. Tobacco Cessation and Employee Assistance/Referral Program, Uniform Service, Safety Shoe, and Safety Prescription-Eyewear benefits are also available The Plant Manager is responsible for leading and managing a manufacturing facility of typically 100 employees to achieve safety, quality, service and productivity targets and expectations. The facility expects to generate approximately $28M in revenue.

The plant produces 240M tons of folded cartons annually from print through gluing processes. Building effective working partnerships with sales, sales & operations support, the incumbent balances customer needs with optimizing operational effectiveness. The Plant Manager is responsible for implementing manufacturing policies and programs that maintain and improve the company's competitive position and profitability of the operation. JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following. Strategic Initiatives - EBITDA and Cash Targets Improve productivity and decrease waste through the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and projects.

Increase labor efficiency and utilization, including staffing and overtime. Optimize inventory turns and reduce aged board inventory to meet cash targets. Growth Initiatives - Annual Revenue Execute Voice of Customer initiatives at the facility level. Achieve on-time delivery targets. Drive successful onboarding of new and transfer business. Ensure that customer specifications are consistently met or exceeded. Operational Effectiveness Meet or exceed standards for environmental, safety, working conditions and cleanliness through daily oversight and direction of management team.

Develop and implement processes and procedures to continually improve quality and reduce customer complaints. Direct management team to ensure productivity targets are monitored and achieved across all facility assets. Ensure facility assets are appropriately maintained through planning and implementation of maintenance programs and procedures, including preventative maintenance and reliability programs. Manage overall spending against budget and in relation to changes in production volume. Manage facility maintenance budget within parameters.

Provide local support and coordination on facility capital projects. Organizational Effectiveness Drive and implement high performance management practices, including Lean Sigma, daily management processes and other related programs. Partner with HR function to hire, train and evaluate team members. backss performance and take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Ensure compliance with current federal, state and local employment regulations. Establish group and individual accountabilities through annual goal planning and performance reviews.

Develop talent through assignments, job rotations, promotions to build bench strength and succession planning. Drive a change in culture to improve employee involvement initiatives and practices. Build, improve and maintain a productive and engaged relationship with hourly associates. Other duties as assigned. Technical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to facilitate process improvement teams. Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate vision/mission. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to motivate people. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Internet skills. Lean Manufacturing experience a plus. EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE: Four-year degree preferred Compensatory closely related work experience required in lieu of degree.

Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Sitting continuously, depending on job assignment, for extended periods Ability to twist neck and back and fingering frequently (34-66% of the time) Ability to balance, stoop, bend, squat, climb, twist, handle, feel, reach above shoulder level, at or below shoulder level, over 18" and to reach to the floor, and kneel occasionally (1-33% of the time) Lifting up to 20 lbs. occasionally (1-33% of the time) Typing and computer skills are essential Requires repetitive use of both hands for simple grasping on an occasional basis; for use in administrative type work, computer, filing, copying, phone use, talking Ability to read, write, hear, see, speak Reading computer screen or other electronic devices Work in areas of fluctuating temperature and loud noises WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
