This person will be responsible for a role consisting of the support to the Operations & Administration in addition to supporting the Document Quality Control Coordinator. From an Operations & Administration perspective, the Senior Auditor will
assist the Operations & Administration team with GIA's Quality Assurance program, the global Management Action Plan (MAP) program and compliance with applicable standards.
From a Document Quality Control perspective, the Senior Auditor will assist with the content review of all GIA reported materials including, but not limited to, report issuances and Audit Committee presentations. Core Functions: Operations and Administration Support team compliance with applicable Standards from The Institute of Internal Auditors, by ensuring updated Standards are reflected in GIA auditing methodology, quality assurance and audit software Support GIA's Quality Assurance Program by performing quality
assurance reviews and reporting key metrics Support the global MAP program including MAP Champions Serve as a global Champion of Audit Software in conjunction with other team members Organize, support and participate in training and development opportunities Document Quality Control Assist with the production of top-quality English-language, written audit reports, monthly and quarterly Audit Committee presentations, and other Board or Senior management-level documents / deliverables, based on drafts written by non-English speakers Review and proofread both draft and final versions of report deliverables, controlling document content and format against GIA templates and style guides Check spelling, grammar, punctuation, consistency, formatting, syntax and vocabulary and format Cross-reference numbers, codes, categorizations and other information included on reports Ensuring that necessary corrections have been made from previous drafts Create new templates, as necessary; maintain audit project templates and style guides for use by the global audit team Assist with issuance of final audit project deliverables Organize work around reporting deadlines and deliverable issuance goal dates Be proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point and Adobe PDF formats Pay exceptional attention to detail Skills/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Economics required, Masters in business administration a plus CPA / CA, CIA, or international equivalent (or in process of completion) Three or more years of full-time experience in auditing, accounting experience, including SOX or other internal controls-based audits Extensive knowledge of and skills in applying internal auditing and accounting principles and practices and management principles and preferred business practices Proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written skills.
Excellent command of the English language and highly skilled at proofreading for errors in spelling, punctuation, consistency, formatting, grammar, and syntax. Experience and Education Requirements A minimum of 3 to 5 years of production inspection experience in aviation is strongly preferred. Experience with business aircraft interior completions/refurbishments, heavy maintenance inspections, and exterior paint processes as applicable. Must possess an A&P Certificate or Repairman Certificate issued by Flying Colours Corp. Minimum of 2 years of inspection experience applying Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) Principles and Practices. Comprehensive
knowledge of tasks and responsibilities within their technical area.
Comprehensive knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment including but not limited to surface plates, micrometers, height gauges, radius gages, bore gauges, and dial indicators. Ability to identify procedures and parts using approved data and manufacturer maintenance and parts manuals. Good manual dexterity and adept in the use of precision measuring tools. The Details Primary duties include but are not limited to the following: Achieve the required product quality standards by creating, executing, and reinforcing AS9100 system objectives and processes for interior completions.
Perform in-process and final inspections during production. Acting as the customer liaison for source inspection activities. Maintain a thorough understanding of the content of the Company QSM and RSM. Ensure that inspection items are complied with properly and contain the correct manufacturer AMM and applicable references. Ensure that work packages are filled out properly, and reference correct manufacturer AMM, customer, and/or regulatory references as applicable. Review in process work instructions, procedures, and process specs. Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with control processes.
Recommends improvements and amendments as required. Performs review inspections on aircraft and components to monitor the quality of work performed and the adequacy of standards and equipment. Apply problem-solving techniques to ensure best practices and continuous improvement in quality deliverables.
