S. This position involves sample collection and
analysis of air samples for hazardous chemicals, documentation, equipment maintenance, and field investigation/remediation activities.
This position supports other teams with the collection of other media samples (groundwater, surface water, soil, waste, biota, etc) as well. The ideal candidate should be able to support the following: Air monitoring using handheld/transportable instruments to gather real-time measurements of volatile organics, inorganics and acid gases; mercury; particulates; chemical agents; and radiation. Collection of environmental samples from multiple media. Remote air monitoring and deployment/maintenance. Performing backssment and interpretation of analytical data from multimedia environmental samples.
Sample and data management. Salary Range: $45,000 to $80,000 DOE Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate a variety of air monitoring instruments. Interpret and evaluate data Deploy air monitoring instruments and perform remote monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting, as needed.
