Spread the Word Nevada has various programs that support, coordinate, and facilitate to advance childhood literacy. Position Summary The Warehouse Associate position assists with all warehouse‐related operations under the direction of the Warehouse Manager. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Assist with maintenance of the physical condition of
the warehouse. Assist with the performance of detailed manual inventory counts.
Assist with deliveries and pick‐ups, as needed. Other duties may be assigned at the Warehouse Manager's discretion related to the fundamental aspects of the Warehouse Associate or related positions. General Requirements Handle the loading and unloading of vehicles. Ensure all accidents or injuries are reported immediately If driving company vehicles must comply with all federal, state, and local laws regulating safe driving and maintain a safe driving record and appropriate driver's license classification while operating agency vehicles Assist with volunteer cleanings under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager Operate pallet jack to maneuver pallets Basic knowledge of Windows-based personal computers and software systems, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products Possess the proficient ability to communicate in English in oral and written format.
Follow all health and safety procedures and regulations as dictated by the Organization and the state. Position requires travel within the local area, traveling to office and business locations to conduct business transactions. This involves exposure to weather conditions, traveling distances to and from buildings, and operating a vehicle. Must be able to remain in a stationary position when in the office. Must be able to articulate concepts and ideas in a clear, concise, and accurate manner. Must have the ability to backss problems, provide solutions, and use good judgment.
Ability to reach with hands and arms, lift up to 25 pounds, climb/balance, stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl, and push/pull file cabinet drawers. Must be able to identify and backss information on computer screens and written reports and documentation and record accurate written and electronic messages and reports. Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols and eye/hand coordination. Ability to Comply to the Company Drug and Alcohol Policy as a requirement of a position that could adversely affect the safety of others. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to excessive heat and wet and/or humid outside conditions.
Due to working in the office, warehouse, and/or school setting, the noise level in the environment is moderate to high at times. In addition, the following conditions will be required: Typical warehouse/delivery truck setting, diverse surroundings with unpredictable environments such as uneven surfaces.
