Gulf Coast Accounting and Tax, you will be responsible for: Personal Tax Preparation: Assisting in the preparation of individual tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws, and identifying potential deductions and credits to maximize clients’ tax benefits.
Business Tax Preparation: Supporting the preparation of business tax returns for various entities, such as sole proprietorships, partnerships, and corporations, while adhering to regulations and optimizing tax planning strategies. Payroll Services: Assisting in processing payroll for clients, ensuring accurate calculations of wages, deductions, and tax withholdings, and maintaining meticulous payroll records. Bookkeeping:
Maintaining accurate financial records for clients, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
Client Interaction: Communicating with clients professionally and providing excellent customer service, addressing their accounting-related inquiries and concerns. Collaboration: Working closely with senior accountants and management to ensure seamless service delivery and maintaining high-quality standards. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting software (e. g. Quick Books, Xero, CCH Axcess) and MS Office suite.
Strong Analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. A kind person. Preferred Qualifications: An enrolled agent. Previous experience in accounting or tax preparation (internships or entry-level positions). CPA candidate or intention to pursue CPA certification.
