The Specialty Design & Analysis (SDA) Department is seeking a Nuclear Weapon Effects (NWE) Section Manager that will be responsible for managing a group of radiation and weapon effects analysts and engineers. This section will be focused on analysis of these effects for air and space systems as they work closely with their counterparts in the associated Radiation Effects Analysis & Laboratory (REAL) & Space & Nuclear Effects Simulation (SNES) Sections, driving program performance in this tightly-linked domain. These

three sections will collaborate and coordinate resources and support, developing a unified vision and executing a global strategy for growth, standardization and meeting program needs.

The Nuclear Weapon Effects (NWE) Section Manager is a " dual-hat" Engineering Manager, responsible for both section management (up to 20% of time) and existing program responsibilities (80% or more of time). Along with reporting into a program, the Section Manager is also a member of the Space Systems Sector Specialty Design & Analysis (SDA) Department. Leadership skills are required to manage and counsel team members and interns. The Section Manager shall be the functional leadership contact for the SDA Department and will support and implement activities supporting Radiation & Survivability Engineering initiatives, reporting directly to the SDA Department Manager.

The NWE manager should have experience in analyzing electronic component degradation under radiation environments and understand strategic threat environments. Both space and nuclear environmental threats would be examined by performing environment modeling, dose mapping, backssments of micrometeoroid, orbital debris, atomic oxygen and UV degradation implications, and use codes for environment & rate calculations, natural & man-made radiation transport, as well as nuclear EMP and mechanical responses.

Roles and responsibilities: •Perform resource planning and staffing to meet program demands. Become a magnet for Radiation and Survivability engineering talent utilizing career fairs, social networking and college hiring events •Promote team member development; including skills training, professional seminar sponsorship, and modernize learning material. Salary Range: $190,600 - $286,000 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Responsibilities Develop and execute mechanical design for vehicle interior fittings, seating and convertible bed systems, and interior trim, from conception through prototyping

and production, selecting manufacturing technologies well matched to program volumes and in line with vehicle cost and performance targets. Develop and release design data and documentation to adequately specify subsystem content at RFQ, prototype and production release phases.

Support selection of suppliers and act as primary contact for vehicle upper structure, glazing and closures component suppliers through the DFM, prototyping, and production readiness phases. Plan and carry out component and subsystem level testing to validate designs and identify opportunities for design improvement throughout the phases. Provide input into, and support the execution of system and vehicle level

testing as needed. Prior Experience & Professional Qualities BS engineering or similar (MS preferred) 2+ years of relevant experience Experience designing and engineering similar products, taking them from concept to production manufacturing, ideally in a lower volume environment.

Prior experience in design and development of RV or vehicle interior components, mechanisms and furniture while working with cutting-edge materials and construction methods.
