Background in substation design and/or maintenance with a focus on major substation equipment relating to transmission/distribution systems for system voltages ranging from 12.47 to 525k V. Prefer experience specifying and procuring substation switching equipment including circuit breakers, disconnect switches and switchgear.

Prefer experience specifying and procuring substation instrument transformers and capacitor banks. Education Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering preferred, Professional engineering registration (PE) is desired. Additional Information Knowledge of specifying and procuring major substation equipment, and/or experience in substation design. Knowledge of power transmission and distribution fundamentals including substation equipment application, with an emphasis on circuit breakers, switchgear, circuit switchers, disconnect switches, switchgear, instrument transformers and substation DC systems.

A good understanding of substation design and maintenance is a plus. Familiarity with design and safety practices including IEEE, ANSI, ASTM, NEC, and NESC. Familiarity with electrical drawings and standards including related area such as design, relaying, control, telecom, etc. Ability to work effectively within SRP as well as entities outside of SRP.
