A 20-bed Observation

Unit (4NW) and a 16-bed ED Landing Zone (1NW). The ED Landing Zone is a cross between ED and the floor.

Here, the patients from the ED are treated, a full head to toe backssment is completed, stat labs are drawn, and are given stat medications (along with other scheduled medications). Patients are taken to scans and procedures from this area. Patients can either be discharged or be admitted to a floor. This landing zone helps continue the plan of care of patients while allowing more patients into the ED to be seen. Patients stay less than 48 hours on either unit. It's a fun and fast paced environment, with a wide variety of both acute and chronic conditions.

All 36 beds have telemetry monitoring ability, along with both Medical Surgical & Progressive Care populations. 4NW also provides Monoclonal Antibody Treatments 3 days per week.
