WHAT THE ENVIRONMENT IS LIKE You will see the Pacific Ocean every day you drive into work. You can have lunch on a bench close to the beach. Detailed responsibilities: Security I - Provides quality Customer Service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction - Patrols, periodically, outside grounds of campus and lobbies, corridors and public rooms, access points of the facility to ensure safety and security of residents and staff - Responds to fire alarms, emergency call switch activation and other emergencies - Graciously warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and devises, reports or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts - Investigates and completes resident loss reports and incident reports, gives copies to supervisor and maintains a file on them - Keeps accurate log of shift activities - Occasionally performs emergency janitorial duties and sets thermostatic controls to maintain specified temperature in buildings or cold storage rooms - Familiar with all disaster, fire and other emergency procedures as outlined in facility disaster plan - Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner Wears PPE/safety equipment as required for the job Reports any safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisor - Follows department safety standards, practice body mechanic techniques and participate in campus-wide safety programs - Front Porch is committed to the prevention of accidents by providing equipment with safeguards, personal safety equipment on jobs which require it, and adequate safety instructions to all employees - All employees are required to follow safe work habits in order to prevent injuries to themselves, residents, visitors or other employees Education with Equivalent Qualifications: High School diploma or GED or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
