Facilitates the management of complicated psychiatric events or crisis. Provides direction to clinical staff on available and appropriate interventions.
Educates physicians and clinical staff in psychiatric diagnosis, preferred treatment strategies and available resources. Provision and promotion of the delivery of patient care in accordance with Behavioral Health Department standards of quality care consistent with accepted standards of practice.
Timely completion of documentation consistent with established policy and procedures within patient medical record. Requirements: 3-5 years' experience Master's degree required in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work Certification/Licensure: Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker required. This position operates under supervision of the licensed professional nurse preceptor. Performs required documentation and communicates in a competent and effective manner to meet patient and/or family needs and regulatory requirements.
