With your keen eye for detail, you prepare legal documents including ordinances, resolutions, deeds, releases, contracts, and memoranda, ensuring they are accurate and complete. You represent the city in court as needed in various civil cases. Acting as a prosecutor, you review evidence
then prepare pleadings and briefs. Leveraging your communication skills, you engage in negotiations with outside parties as well as appear against accused persons in municipal court.
You perform research on issues relevant to operational and policy-making processes as well as advise city officials on legal matters. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : Clarity of speech and hearing that permits the employee to communicate well with law enforcement, supervisors, employees, legal professionals and the general public.
