Youth Care Specialists meet the immediate supervision and care needs of youth, including transportation to/from school and appointments; housekeeping and custodial duties; food preparation and handling; participation in life skills, educational, and recreational programming; and assisting youth with activities of daily living.
Youth Care Specialists also perform crisis intervention and case management support in collaboration with case manager, clinical and supervisory staff. Job Qualifications: Must be 21 years or older per licensing regulations GED or High School diploma 1 year experience working with at risk youth;
or Bachelor's degree in human services related field Applicants with personal experiences of homelessness, juvenile justice and child welfare system involvement are encouraged to apply Must pass a CYFD Criminal Records Check Must maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License Must be able to successfully perform non-violent crisis intervention and CPR/First Aid upon hire (trainings will be provided)
