JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Basic Function: Intermediate level position responsible for completing a variety of tasks associated with the installation, activation, deactivation, maintenance and inspection of gas meters and regulators.

Responds to routine and emergency requests for gas service and is responsible for repairing leaks on meter sets. Serves as a member of a crew engaged installing and repairing gas mains and service pipeline. Participates in making taps on mains and services and operates heavy equipment. Also responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on customers appliances and

other gas equipment. Protects meters sets from atmospheric corrosion by painting or replacing piping. Provides technical assistance in installing and/or repairing gas main or service lines.

Representative Duties and Responsibilities: Efficiently works a route to complete customer and compliance orders in a timely manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures and operator qualifications procedures. Performs service activation, deactivation, and leak repairs. Performs leak investigation as required following a service activation. Conducts and documents complete investigations of customer premises in response to questionable gas consumption (e. g. high bill complaints, stopped

meters, etc. ) or other issues. Performs basic pipefitting on meter sets (remove meter, install fuel line cut off, replace union).

Installs meter headers. Coordinates and performs basic operation, maintenance, inspection and repair on all above ground valves to include grease, tighten, operate and inspect. Performs meter inspections and paints as needed to maintain compliance with atmospheric corrosion. Performs valve operation and maintenance. Operation of heavy equipment during excavations. Performs underground leak investigation and grading to include: Special surveys Shorted casing surveys Re-checks and re-evaluates Assists in pipe joining methods (Electro fusion and mechanical fusion).

Responds to gas pipeline emergencies. Participates in the on-call rotation for off-shift emergency response. Interacts with customers to answer questions, explain work performed, give instructions for operation of appliances, and promote gas usage. Identifies abnormal operating conditions and takes appropriate actions. Performs miscellaneous inspections, as required. Actively and accurately captures documentation in the Mobile Data Terminal Available to work overtime as necessary to meet business requirements and flexibility in working shifts as required.

Safely operate company assigned vehicles in performance of assignments. Observes all safety requirements and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance. Performs other job-related duties as required. Education and Experience: Required: High school diploma or GED Minimum 6 months experience as General Tech work and responsibilities, or equivalent Basic Meter activation qualified and certified Advanced Crew qualified and certified Preferred: 1-2 years Field operations experience Technical School training and certification Experience installing meter sets, connecting fuel lines, and establishing service to new and existing customers Or Equivalent academic education and experience Skills: Required: Customer service skills Proficiency with required General Tech skills Good written and oral communication Ability to use good judgment when working in potentially hazardous and emergency environments MS Office and Computer skills basic proficiency Mechanical aptitude Able to operate basic equipment, machinery and simple tools Good interpersonal skills Ability to resolve and diffuse difficult/escalated situations Knowledge of assigned geographical territory Able to operate basic equipment and machinery Electro fusion and plastic welding of Ability to smell odorant used to detect gas leaks Certifications/Licenses: Required: Operator Qualified in accordance with Company Plan Must have a valid state driver's license and pass DOT and Company driving tests CDL (class A) Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to stoop, bend, crawl, walk, climb ladders, and lift weights in excess of 100 pounds.

Ability to occasionally ascend and descend stairs and ladders is required. Must also have keen senses of smell, hearing, vision and color identification. Ability to work in all types of terrain and weather conditions is required.

Responsible for development of intelligence annexes, physical security plans, and all security related areas for the Brigade and subordinate units.

Provide all-source intelligence information and data at the tactical and operational levels dealing with threat capabilities (weapons systems, equipment, organization, doctrine, theory, tactics, techniques, areas of interest, and procedures), intentions, vulnerabilities, effects of terrain and weather on operations, and courses of action. Utilizing exceptional technical knowledge of intelligence

doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures the incumbent provides input to training materials and may coordinate organizational training. Provide intelligence information and/or products to officials outside of the organization regarding the interpretation of IMINT (Imagery Intelligence), SIGINT (Signal Intelligence), and HUMINT (Human Intelligence) operations and backssments.

Research a variety of open-source media to include intelligence databases Internet general media publications etc. for relevant information.
