The Software Quality Engineer will be responsible for the following activities in support of programs across the MSFC and primarily the Space Launch System (SLS) program: Software Assurance (SA) analyses and backssments related to quality, reliability, and safety; review and analysis of engineering design concepts and software assurance plans and assuring compliance with NASA safety polices and standards for software.

The predominant function for the quality engineer will be to support the Artemis Program in the Integrated Avionics Test Facility. RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate will perform software assurance functions for one or more NASA programs at MSFC. The candidate will backss the completeness and quality of engineering software requirements.

The candidate will backss the successful verification and validation of requirements by engineering. The candidate will perform post test data analysis to assure consistency with engineering results. The candidate will participate in process and technical product quality audits. Other duties assigned. REQUIRED: This position requires US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information. Must have a Bachelor of Science in the field of Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer

Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a software-related field.

Must have 15+ years of recent and related work experience. Must have experience performing software quality assurance and testing activities related to embedded software systems and associated technical products. Must have knowledge of software process auditing from an accrediting agency (ISO, CMMI or similar). Must understand the software development life cycle (requirements, design, implementation, and test) and the entry and exit criteria associated with Program/Project milestone reviews including waterfall and agile methodologies. Must have experience with NASA, Government approved Industry, or Do D software assurance requirements, standards, manuals and handbooks, and backssing compliance with these products.

Must be able to evaluate engineering for compliance with NASA-STD 7150.2x in accordance with NASA-STD 8739.8x. WORK LOCATION: This position offers a hybrid work schedule; some hours will be remote, and some hours will be in the office. This position offers a 9/80 schedule, every other Friday off STANDARD BASTION REQUIREMENTS: Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite. All of Bastion's employees must be team players. Able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives. Must have a strong work ethic and must be safety culture oriented.
