Develop lodging accommodations knowledge by learning about all of the resort's accommodations. We currently have 33 distinct complexes with approximately 1,200 rental units including hotel rooms, condominiums and private homes. Acquires understanding and knowledge of lodging rates by learning the rate structures and knowing where to find the rates for each lodging accommodations including rack, discount seasons and packages. Develop general resort knowledge by learning the information and pricing for lift tickets, ski rentals, ski lessons, adventure products and special events.

Confirms lodging accommodations and resort activities by greeting guests, reviewing reservations, making necessary changes and checking guests into their accommodations. Reserves lodging accommodations and resort activities for walk-in guests by explaining available lodging and activity options, quoting rates and booking reservation. Collects and reconciles daily transactions by collecting folio balance, preforming required accounting procedures, processing a shift report and balancing cash drawer.

Achieves a high quality of guest service by answering inquiries concerning recreational opportunities, scenic attractions, special events, entertainment, shopping, eating establishments, travel routes and all general information. Maintains guest confidentiality by safeguarding credit card information, room numbers, addresses, phone numbers and issuing proper keys. Maintains rapport with housekeeping and maintenance services by relaying information regarding early checkouts, walk- ins, room changes and by reporting housekeeping and maintenance problems or issues as reported by our guests.

Organizes and maintains daily operations by relaying information, ensuring reports or supplies are ready for the next shift, maintaining the front desk in a clean and orderly fashion, and keeping information racks full of brochures. Summary The Community Engagement Manager will play a crucial role in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of a project entitled, " Breaking Barriers in the Mountain State: Promoting Health Equity for People with Type 1 Diabetes in West Virginia, " a groundbreaking initiative aimed at reducing health disparities. The project will enable JDRF to build the critical programming infrastructure necessary for re-engaging

with communities in West Virginia (starting in Morgantown) including healthcare partners and a dedicated long-term volunteer presence to facilitate JDRF outreach activities.

The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure the efficient execution of project activities within the scope and timeline defined by the grant proposal. This position is currently approved for 1 year, its renewal is contingent on the successful approval and disbursement of grant funding. It is remote but must be based in (or near) West Virginia. Responsibilities Develops and implements core Community Engagement Program components in West Virginia to include Outreach initiatives and Bag of Hope and care kit distribution and reporting.

Manages the planning and execution of a Type One Nation Summit (TONS), an educational and programmatic event, in accordance with Chapter and National guidelines. Will include leadership of TONS Volunteer Committee, volunteer recruitment and management/development of robust programming, recruitment of qualified and engaging speakers and development of programming for youth attendees. Ideates and executes Community Engagement events to provide support and/or education to the West Virginia community.

Leverages survey feedback/community input to guide direction of plans. Engages newly diagnosed families and individuals, T1D community members, healthcare providers and other stakeholders in market programs and activities to support and drive the JDRF mission. Collaborates with Community Engagement peers across the organization for idea sharing and learning, and participates in National Community Engagement meetings, trainings and working groups. May support JDRF's advocacy initiative and local advocacy volunteer efforts at the market and chapter level. Develops and builds relationships with key diabetes healthcare professionals and diabetes industry representatives in the market area, to market the Community Engagement Program, disseminate resources and support fundraising programs.

As a key member of the Chapter Community Engagement staff team, assists in development and management of Chapter marketing and communication strategy, including engagement plans, volunteer updates, newsletter content, social media, press releases and media alerts, and event specific communication plans. Works with chapter staff to identify, recruit, and develop volunteers for leadership and support roles in implementing JDRF Outreach programs.

Collaborates with Chapter staff on chapter-wide communication efforts during national JDRF campaigns that include, but are not limited to, national diabetes awareness month, volunteer appreciation Week, store campaign support, holiday engagement opportunities, and more. Collaborates with the Chapter Walk staff team to support new family team recruitment through relationship development with newly diagnosed families. Partners with Chapter staff to ensure an impactful experience for all new family teams at One Walk, including identification of success metrics such as revenue and percentage growth of new family teams.

Works in conjunction with Chapter Development staff to develop fundraising pipeline by introducing newly diagnosed families to the JDRF Mission, supporting engagement opportunities, and identifying donor prospects. Manages and oversees accurate recording of information in CRM database and adoption of established processes. Works within Chapter budget to ensure fiscal responsibility and assist in identifying local grant resources to fund Community Engagement projects. Interfaces and serves as a liaison for Community Engagement staff and volunteers.

Manages volunteer relationships to uphold JDRF strategic priorities and messaging. Maintains steady communication between departments related to and including Community Engagement and Strategic Alliances, Development, Advocacy, Field Operations, Corporate Development. Assists in evaluating Market and Chapter activities on a regular basis and seek ways to improve performance and fundraising success. Assists in the functioning of the Chapter's daily operations, projects, and tasks as assigned. Responds to and follow through with all inquiries, needs, complaints and/or issues in a prompt and courteous manner.

Maintains a good understanding of JDRF's mission and research cure therapeutics. Qualifications 4 years of relevant experience and a college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of fundraising activities and organizing community initiatives. Volunteer management experience Knowledge of administrative procedures, such as coordination of people and resources, planning, and resource allocation. Proficient with MS Office and databases (Sales Force preferred). Demonstrated ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Highly efficient in time management and can meet deadlines under pressure. Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills. Team player with ability to interface with all levels of staff and volunteers. Must develop and maintain positive and effective relationships. Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to work and make judgments independently and take initiative.
