Summary Serves as an intern/co-op with Oldcastle APG upon attaining their sophomore status in their designated course of study. Interns and co-ops may also work on a part-time basis throughout the school year based on company needs and availability of intern. Interns and co-ops will be integrated
into an existing team of Oldcastle APG associates based on the primary functional area of the intern’s assignment. The intern/co-op will receive his or her direction and assignments from a designated operations manager in the primary functional area.
This manager will be the primary contact throughout the assignment. The applicant will assist in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment. Under direct supervision/guidance, compiles, analyzes and reports operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified products, processes, or materials. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Undertakes and successfully
completes simple or basic project/product development tasks to include any of the following: writing and/or verifying specifications maintaining product/process documentation testing processes equipment, raw materials and product, and validating equipment and processes May assist in inventing / creating concepts and designs/approaches for new products/processes/test methods Designs, procures, and fabricates simple tooling and fixtures Designs and coordinates engineering tests and experiments Prepares standard reports/documentation to communicate results to technical community Completes basic tasks on engineering documentation Train technicians/operators on new processes and/or test procedures Identifies areas for improvement, suggests solutions, and submits idea records Build quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements Required Qualifications Sophomore or higher status in the following engineering majors Industrial Civil Mechanical Structural Material Sciences Demonstrated skills with Microsoft Offices packages: Word Excel Power Point Must work well in team environment and have good communication skills Must be able to work in a plant environment with some degree of flexibility in work hours Knowledge/Skills Strong interpersonal and organizational skills What CRH Offers You Highly competitive base pay Comprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programs Group retirement savings program Health and wellness programs A diverse and inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotion About CRH CRH has a long and proud heritage.
