Primary purpose: Collaborates in the development, testing, and maintenance of digital clinical quality measures specifications, including modeling of clinical concepts in Clinical Quality Language (CQL) and using available digital information models such as the Quality Data Model (QDM) and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR).

A successful candidate will: Develop digital measure specifications, requiring understanding clinical information models, HL7 standards including CQL, value

set concepts and standard vocabularies, and logical scenarios for inclusion/exclusion in measure populations Gather and translate measure requirements into formal metadata and logic Create test scenarios, evaluate logic using online authoring and testing tools to verify measure intent and to identify and resolve issues Perform environmental scans and literature reviews Convene/facilitate expert workgroup and/or technical expert panel as needed Lead the endorsement process for assigned measures, if applicable Prepare education and outreach materials Respond to questions submitted through JIRA tickets for assigned measures Requirements: Experience with quality measure development including electronic

quality measures (e CQMs) and/or implementation Experience in computer programming/coding (e.

g. query languages or other general-purpose languages) Familiarity with standard terminologies, including, but not limited to, SNOMED CT, LOINC, Rx Norm Bachelor's degree or equivalent in health informatics, computer science, engineering, information technology, or related field Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a U. S. -based clinical practice including clinical workflow and clinical best practices Clinical informatics experience or education Experience with HL7 standards including Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resource (FHIR) and Clinical Quality Language (CQL) Clinical license Experience with Consensus Based Entity (CBE) endorsement Additional Job Information: This position is 100% work-from-home/remote apart from the annual Lantana Retreat, held as conditions allow.
