for supervising or performing metals processing and distribution work. Work includes specialized equipment operation and/or supporting functions and requires a practical knowledge of the nature and operations and the materials, facilities and methods employed by Phoenix Metals in metals processing and distribution.
Duties and Responsibilities Generally responsible for completing basic, routine tasks with detailed instructions. Maintains work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. Reports any irregularities to supervisor for direction. Responsible for adhering to/ensuring compliance with applicable safety and quality standards Performs equipment repairs, PM's, routine maintenance,
and other maintenance related tasks as assigned. This will include work outside of normal business hours and on weekends. Performs routine maintenance on building interior and exterior.
Works in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations. Performs general machine maintenance including repairs, PM's, and other maintenance related tasks Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Maintain maintenance records. Coordinate work with outside vendors performing repairs / upgrades. Tracking of maintenance activities through a computer program. Locate and order parts through vendors. To perform this job successfully, the individual must
be thorough and possess strong time management skills. Problem solving/analysis are also important.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn/use maintenance software. Required and Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities required. High School diploma/GED preferred. Must possess a Valid Drivers License. Must be able to obtain a certification to operate all required motorized material handling and rigging equipment. Clear oral and written communication skills, particularly legible handwriting required. Ability to show adequate manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordination required.
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions as applied to work situations required. Basic measurement skills, including taking, converting, and/or using measurements of length, width, height, and weight to perform basic math computations correctly required. Basic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions required. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively required. Ability to make sound decisions based on a combination of factors including knowledge, experience, and judgment required.
Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors and co-workers required. Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
