As a Computer Scientist, you will: Serve as the Associate Director for Technology (ADT) responsible for providing executive-level leadership and guidance on Center-wide data resources and information technology management in support of scientific and program information and the research and development efforts on new information technologies, architectures and systems

for NCHS. Formulate, plan, develop and conduct original research and make important developmental contributions to the expanding field of information technology and computer science.

Coordinate and participate in Center-wide research projects to investigate new technologies, architectures, and applications that can be used in large, complex national health surveys, data collection and statistical analysis. Serve as NCHS's expert in evaluating business and scientific information systems and planning and designing internal and national health information systems to include developing new and emerging information technology tools, platforms, and methods. Applicants must have at least three (3) years of specialized experience in, or closely related to, the duties of the position described in the vacancy announcement.
