surveys of migratory game and nongame birds, including aerial surveys.
Will oversee conservation of interior least terns, shorebirds, wading birds, marsh birds and other species of wetland-oriented nongame birds. Serve as technical expert on national panels for the conservation of migratory game birds including Joint Ventures and the Mississippi Flyway game and nongame bird technical sections. This position will require periods of extensive field work and frequent travel in-state to oversee projects. Preferred skills may include, but are not limited to the following: Excellent communication skills. Strong bird identification skills. Previous experience banding migratory birds.
Experience in managing wetland habitats. Excellent technical writing skills, experience with experimental design and the collection and analysis of field data.
