Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Responsible for preparing and/or maintaining systems, programming and operations documentation, procedures and methods, including user manuals, reference manuals, etc. Maintains
a current internal documentation library. Provides or coordinates special documentation services as required. Competent to work at the highest level of all phases of documentation.
Gathers, analyzes, and composes technical information. Conducts research and ensure the use of proper technical terminology. Translates technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel. The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Experience: At least 5-12 years of experience in the field or in
a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. May report to a supervisor or manager. Education: Bachelor’s degree (+5 years of experience) Associate’s degree (+7 years of experience) High School diploma (+9 years of experience). Certification: None required. Security Clearance: Active Secret Security Clearance Physical Requirements: The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office. The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
