Transport equipment that may be oversized or overweight. Ensure load weights are properly distributed and secured. Take oil samples and prepare them for shipment. Service vehicle braking systems and lights. Perform preventative maintenance checks and services. Receive incoming warehouse items and equipment and check them for damage and serviceability. Issues and stores equipment in the warehouse.

Prepares various accountability documents and warehouse reports. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDIER IN THE U. S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR). This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements. Physical Effort Required: Performs work on hard surfaces and in work areas that require the worker to stand, stoop, bend, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Works at a rapid pace for long periods of time. Moderate physical effort is used in operating hand and foot controls when driving, turning, stopping and starting the forklifts and motor vehicles and in raising, lowering and tilting the forklift loads.

Frequently lifts and carries supplies, material and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. Working Conditions: Subject to working outdoors during periods of inclement weather. Is exposed to serious injuries while operating vehicles over public roads and on the installation. Works on concrete floors and in drafty areas. May be exposed to fumes, fluids, dirt, battery acids, etc. resulting in bruises, cuts, burns, and skin irritation. Wearing of hearing protection and other safety equipment is required during all periods of exposure to hazardous conditions.
