NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems.

The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity. The Operations Engineer will support day-to-day operations with responsibilities including troubleshooting, process optimization

and improvement, and improving product quality. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Organize, lead, and participate in improvement initiatives, projects, and process optimization teams to deliver specific, focused, time bound improvement objectives.

Monitor operations on a daily/weekly basis, reviewing KPI's, operating logs, Distributed Control System (DCS) trends, quality results, and other sources of data to ensure reliable, consistent, and cost effective operations. Intervene where appropriate to identify and resolve operating issues. Design and implementation of new Mont Belvieu facility processes and/or equipment upgrades. Manage capital project assignments

as necessary to support Mont Belvieu plant improvements. Maintain the calculation basis for unit's permits and prepare emission event calculations.

Provide production and process optimization, troubleshooting, data analysis, and technical support to the operations organization. Develop process standards, operating procedures, diagrams, training materials, and job aids as required to properly document, teach, and manage site operations. Implement, monitor, and maintain reliability improvement techniques such as predictive and preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and risk based inspection. Track variable costs and look for ways to reduce those costs via process optimization.

Ensure compliance with all steps of OSHA 1910.119 / Process Safety Management and DOT regulations. Satisfactorily perform other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred. A minimum of (3) years of experience in a chemical plant environment, or related industry is required. A minimum of (3) years of experience with production, process, or mechanical troubleshooting and optimization activities is required. Experience with light hydrocarbons, MTBE, Oleflex, Ethermax, Dehydrogenation, Reactive Distillation, Fractionation, and OSHA 1910.119 (PSM) is preferred.

Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. ) is required. Working knowledge of reliability improvement techniques such as predictive and preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, risk based inspections, and total productive maintenance is preferred. Experience with Process Modeling software, such as Hysys, is preferred. Must show strong initiative, be self motivated, work with minimal supervision. Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing, and be detailed oriented with the ability to handle fast-paced projects with constantly changing priorities and scope.

Must be proficient in balancing multiple priorities and activities, and be able to meet deadlines in a timely and accurate manner. Must demonstrate a proven track record of working in a team environment, possess a strong technical/problem solving aptitude and be data driven. Ability to solve complex problems by identifying and enrolling appropriate resources is required. Ability to quickly absorb the key deliverables and not get mired in details is required. Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment as directed. Assist in compressor, large motor and component replacement. Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts. Operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks and aerial lifts safely. Clean and maintain company service vehicles, if one is assigned. Orally communicate with store personnel regarding the proper use of equipment as it relates to repeat calls and overtime.

Utilize company email system to send and receive messages. Properly complete all repair, labor, parts purchasing and usage documentation in a timely fashion.

Comply with all department and company policies and procedures. Assist other skilled trade technicians in repairs as requested. Physical demands include, but are not limited to, high aptitude for standing and walking endurance, sitting while driving to various stores, lifting and carrying up to 70 pounds, pushing and pulling climbing ladders of various types, bending, squatting, and kneeling, and working in different temperatures inside and outside the store. Minimum Position Qualifications & Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent 1 year proven refrigeration/HVAC experience and satisfactory overall performance Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime when necessary Desired Previous Job Experience/Education: Experience reading engineering drawings, manuals and schematics EPA Type 2 Certification Leadership Behaviors: Achieves Results through Teamwork, Coaches and Develops Others, Communicates Effectively and Candidly, Executes with Excellence, Leads Change and Innovation, Leads through Positive Influence, Provides Clear and Strategic Direction, Puts the Customer First.
