For sale is my beautiful 1974 Kawasaki Z1, true 70âs muscle bike.
Always gets a ton of attention at bike night. Matching numbers engine to the frame being only 31 numbers off. Built in late 1973 makes this a early 1974. It has had many upgrades including professional paint 6 years ago, Avon tires, new dyna electronic ignition with new coils.
Complete new wire harness, with both handlebar controls. The motor top end was rebuilt by the previous owner, and new clutch installed. The bike runs strong and shifts great, very tight and crisp trans. It still retains a original rare denco header that sounds great.
Carbs have been jetted for the kn pod filters and exhaust but could use a little more tuning but runs great overall. Gas tank clean inside overall. The electric start isn ât currently working, Iâve always kick started it and always fires up in a few kicks. The frame is painted with wrinkle paint, a common thing in the 70âs. It âs been a street bike for most it âs life till the previous owner has decided to
put it back to more original condition. All lights work, chrome is nice overall, original wheels in good shape. Has a small oil leak I think coming from the stator cover gasket, haven ât had time to change it.
CLEAN TITLE that matches the frame vin. This bike is obviously not all original but still retains the look and function that it originally had.

I purchased it in 2008 and did a complete teardown and rebuild.
cleaned out the sludge trap and replaced everything from bushings to pushrods to pistons and rings. New Avon Speedmaster tyres. There are no " new" components on this bike. It was sold to me as all original. The numbers match. They are different but they came on the bike

Great bike with a strong compression and very complete for a straight-forward mechanical restoration, or if you must, a full restoration. Frame, engine, head stock tag and title all matching numbers. There are scrapes, scratches, little rust and two dents in the tank, but otherwise, a very solid machine. Clean title.

A 736cc air cooled straight four engine. The bike is very clean with minimal surface rust on the wheel spokes and the gauges.
