Job Summary: This position is the key resource for Sun Opta's compensation programs that includes: Salaried and hourly program structures Short- term and long- term incentive plans Market research and analysis Analysis support for executive compensation Stock plan administration Board compensation Support to the CAO for the Compensation Committee In addition, this position will be involved with employee benefits selection, administration, and usage reporting.

Essential Functions of the Job: Administer base pay compensation programs including annual review

cycles. Administer STI (Short-term incentive program) and LTI (Long-term incentive program). Work with Finance to ensure proper accruals, documentation, financial impact analysis, and awards against financial measures.

Administer Stock Incentive Plan. Administer Employee Stock Purchase Program. Examine and evaluate positions for appropriate compensation structure. Support international compensation structures and market position. Audit and recommend changes to salary structures and position classification. Manage compensation projects including program design, market analysis, budgeting, compensation integration with M&A, and new program implementation. Assist with compensation disclosures

for the annual proxy statement. Build and maintain compensation structures for all staff utilizing a variety of software programs.

Develop and document procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Review FLSA regulations to ensure compliance. Sustain and develop knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed laws and regulations affecting compensation. Identify compensation trends that could impact organizational objectives. Perform continuous evaluation, development, and execution of policies, programs, and processes. Other duties, as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, preferably in HR or Finance.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Preferred Qualifications:5+ years of related compensations experience, preferable with a publicly traded company. HR certification. Exposure to SAS compensation systems. Experience with Ceridian Dayforce. Food and Beverage manufacturing / environment experience. Knowledge and Skills: Strong theoretical and practical financial acumen. Exposure to financial reporting of employee benefits. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent ability to problem-solve.

Demonstrated ability of compensation theory and practice. Able to make sound business decisions and evidence-based recommendations to senior management. Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Skilled at developing relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and individual contributors. Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities independently. Critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts. High level of integrity and discretion in managing confidential matters.

Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Products proficiently for analysis and communications. Additional Considerations: Travel Expectation: Up to 10%. SENIOR PAYROLL SPECIALIST Classification Non-Exempt Reports to Payroll Supervisor Job Summary The Payroll Specialist will assist in payroll processing using Success Factors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) for both weekly and biweekly employees while providing efficient, accurate and timely data entry.

This role will also support Workforce (WFS) – a cloud-based time and attendance system. Essential Functions Processing weekly and biweekly payroll for 2000+ salaried, hourly employees throughout the US and Canada, including manual

payroll for off-cycle situations. Review timesheets and attendance records (WFS) and correct inaccuracies. Obtain and enter accurate and timely payroll data into the payroll system.

Organize and verify data for final payroll runs before processing year-end W-2s; address and correct W-2 discrepancies. Prepare, weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (WFS, W-2’s, hours worked, vacation, PTO, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc. ) Investigate complex problems and identifies, recommends, and implements continuous improvements and best practices to improve payroll processing and efficiencies. Cultivates strong and cooperative working relationships with internal and external customers.

Provides mentoring, coaching, and training to co-workers as needed.

Process wage garnishments and child support orders. Create and maintain guides and training materials as needed. Assist in the development of the Payroll Standards and Procedures Manual. Work cross-functionally with other teams (Benefits, HR, Accounting, Finance, etc. ) to resolve employee payroll/time questions. Gain a solid understanding of Tennant Company’s Core HR System (Success Factors) and how the systems interface with WFS and ECP Payroll systems. Maintains confidentiality of all Company, employee and/or customer data and sensitive information. Cultivates strong and cooperative working relationships with internal and external customers.

Completing Special Projects as assigned. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility No Supervisory responsibilities. Required Education, Experience and Skills Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience in business administration, accounting or a related field. Minimum 4 years of work experience in payroll processing, manufacturing payroll preferred. Experience using payroll software and systems, preferably ECP. Experience using Time and Attendance software and systems, preferably Workforce Software. Detail oriented with good communication skills, both written and effective listening.

Team player with effective collaboration, prioritization, organizational, interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Ability to independently problem-solve and manage workflow in a fast-paced environment with multiple and sometimes changing priorities. Demonstrates high level of integrity, judgement and dependability with confidential information. Expertise in Microsoft Office software applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, Power Point. Preferred Education and Experience Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Certification.
