Responsibilities ---Work independently and as a team on all irrigation system installations, repairs, and upgrades ---Prepare estimates on-site and present them to customers ---Conduct a 35-point inspection of irrigation system ---Install or troubleshoot smart irrigation controllers and set up zones for optimal water coverage ---Teach customers how to use the system in a friendly manner ---Interact with customers, colleagues, and vendors in a professional manner ---Follow warehouse and equipment daily maintenance and cleaning standards ---Demonstrate expertise in the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems and related components
including irrigation lines, sprinkler heads, control panels, valves, pumps, PVB/backflow preventers, etc.
---Perform seasonal maintenance of irrigation systems for turn-on and winterization ---Learn about other departments to provide backup support ---Follow all safety training and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment Qualifications ---One or more years of experience in the irrigation industry and related principles/practices ---Knowledge of tools, equipment, techniques, skills, materials, and mechanics of irrigation systems ---Ability to operate equipment such as trenching machines and digging tools related to grounds and landscaping equipment ---Strong sense of teamwork and communication ---Ability to complete company-sponsored training to enhance knowledge and skills
