Plans and conducts independent work within M&T to support all business lines (Semiconductor, Electric Vehicle, Battery, and Data Center) requiring judgment in evaluation, selection, application and adaption of design on a project. Knows applicable industry standards and codes, accepted design practices and quality standards for a global business unit. Job Dimensions: Supervision Received Receives operational supervision and technical guidance from a Project Engineering Manager, Engineering Supervisor, or Chief Engineer. Supervision Exercised Provides operational direction and technical guidance to subordinate engineer and designer personnel as directed.

Contacts Establishes and maintains communication with design and engineering supervisors in charge of related disciplines and with administrative personnel within the group or project. Consults with equipment suppliers, design and construction subcontractors, technical specialists, other disciplines/functions and client representatives as directed to provide and receive technical information and to ensure the coordination of the work within the project or assignment and compliance with Bechtel/client requirements.

Responsibilities: Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work in mechanical discipline in a project or staff group. Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and/or difficult coordination requirements. Performs work using Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs). Plans, coordinates, or prepares equipment or work specifications, material requisition, technical bid evaluations and award recommendations. Coordinates engineering efforts in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, and contractors and between other groups.

Assumes a lead technical role over other engineers or project subgroups for completing specific tasks as directed. Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions to Supervisor and/or project management. Facilitates technical discussions with third parties (client, suppliers, regulators). Conducts reviews of vendor drawings, calculations and other documentation. Works on conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals.

Prepares cost estimates, quantity take-offs and staffing requirements for proposals, forecasts and change orders. Reviews and checks work of subordinate engineers. Makes decisions concerning problems within the discipline on the project. Represents the discipline on the project and with the client as directed to resolve technical questions. Coordinates and interfaces as directed with the day-to-day technical work of discipline engineers, specialists and designers. Prepares or oversees the preparation of discipline estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule and budget, and manages implementation and performance accordingly.

Supports function initiatives of developing Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), Bechtel design guides, appropriate Bechtel Standard Computer Applications (BSAPs) and administrative practices. Mentors designers and drafters by providing appropriate on-the-job training for their professional development. Supports the creation of a work environment, supported by leadership, which fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction. Qualifications and Skills: Basic Qualifications: Level One: BS degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college (or international equivalent), and minimum 8 (eight) years of Dry systems experience.

Level Two: BS degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college (or international equivalent), and minimum 15 (fifteen) years of Dry systems experience. Additional Qualifications: In depth knowledge of equipment packages such as Air Handling Systems, Air Condensing units, Variable Air Volume Units and Cleanroom Recirculation Air and Exhaust Systems. Applicant should be able to identify specific industry and technology experience.

Good working knowledge of International standard for cleanrooms and associated controlled environments (ISO 14644 1 thru’ 14), Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST-RP-CC001, 002, 006, 007, 012, 021, 034) for Cleanrooms and American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), SMACNA and International Mechanical Code (IMC) standards for HVAC and Air Handling Units. Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods, plant layout, materials, and computers for preparation of analyses and development of project deliverables within the discipline.

Thorough knowledge of discipline engineering techniques, the design of engineered systems, and engineering and design calculations. Proficient knowledge of the application of Engineering to plant constructability as applied to construction methods and materials. Thorough understanding of the roles played by other departments on projects including construction practices and the economics involved. Knowledge of precedents in the discipline and of principles and practices of related disciplines. Understanding of engineering planning and control methods.

Skilled in oral and written communication. Able to work in project groups with shared-work teams globally, to progress project designs. Able to troubleshoot issues in a field or job site setting confidently, and to provide instruction on how to resolve issues identified. Experience in writing equipment design specifications. Experience of mentoring junior mechanical engineers. Demonstrated ability to cope with conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions, and multiple tasks. Preferred Qualifications: A professional license in an appropriate engineering or scientific discipline, from a recognized licensing board preferred.

Prior work experience and responsibility for the supervision on a medium or major size projects. Experience with field installation / commissioning activities for Dry systems. Experience in coordinating with global execution teams and offices. Experience in supporting project reviews and closure of associated actions: HVAC Ductwork plan, Piping plan, Specifications, HVAC Zoning & Pressurization and Blow Down plans. Prior experience in planning and executing greenfield or brownfield projects in one or more of the following market segments: Semiconductor, Electric Vehicle, Battery, or Data Center.

This position is a DOT (Department of Transportation) covered classification and is subject to random drug and/or alcohol screening. We are hiring qualified Journeyman Linemen to work throughout our service territory in Distribution. Open positions are predominantly in Ohio, however additional locations and classifications could become available at any time based on changing business needs. Journeyman Linemen are responsible for

building and maintaining electric power systems and for restoring electric service to commercial, industrial, agricultural and residential customers. They are expected to test, frame and set poles; climb poles, work in confined spaces; splice and terminate cables.

Our Lineman will have had successfully completed a federal or state sanctioned apprenticeship (with approved supporting documentation) and/or IBEW sponsored line worker apprenticeship. Work is predominantly outdoors and in all weather conditions. Linemen must be able to drive safely, work extended hours; travel/transfer to new headquarter upon request at any time (General Construction Positions), and wear company provided Personal

Protective Equipment. First Energy is providing the hourly rate that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting.

This position is subject to collectively bargained hourly wage rates and increases. The starting wage rate for this position is $46.68 per hour with a top rate of $48.02. This wage rate is specific to the locality of the job. The wage rate is based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. Troubleshoots problems and determines extent of repairs on primary and secondary overhead or underground dead legs. Work will include the use of hand and power tools; digging holes by hand for pole installation; climbing ladders, poles, embankments and towers; working at heights above 35' on poles and in aerial lifts; setting grounds; working with live circuits; and working in trenches, manholes and confined spaces. Sets and installs underground structures, locates, pulls, removes, splices or terminates cables.

Installs and replaces equipment, meters and streetlights. Operates hydraulic equipment including: drills, boom truck, digger, pole tamper, hydraulic jack and bucket truck once certified. Operates lift equipment such as aerial lifts and line truck booms. Operates forklift to load and unload work materials and supplies. Travels by vehicle, motor boat or off-road utility vehicle (OUV) to access job sites May drive a Class A vehicle (i. e. bucket truck and line truck) to and from the job site.
