by championing (or supporting) new product development (stage gate process) and continuous improvement projects to improve product performance, reduce cost, improve manufacturability, improve quality, etc Ensure design outputs designed and solutions employed (for components, assemblies, final products) meet all required internal and external specifications, industry codes and regulations (e.

g. CGA, ASME, DOT), etc Lead, or participate in, risk analysis activities (DFMEA) Manage definition, prioritization and delegation of tasks to shared engineering resources (e. g. design, team, analysis team, etc) Create, manage, and communicate basic timelines for completion of critical tasks and projects (using Gantt charts, as necessary) Create, or support creation of design validation test plans and (as-required) conduct testing of components, assemblies, and final products Improve product consistency and reduce variance and warranty claims by working across the organization to identify and resolve potential defects Ensure consistent utilization of best practices in engineering design and continuous improvement of those processes Your Education Should Be… BS Engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, but will consider Aerospace, Materials Science, or Nuclear Engineering disciplines MS degree and/or MBA is a plus Your Physical Work Environment Will Require… Working Conditions Production factory support and office environment Minimal work related travel may be required (approximately 15% or less) Physical Requirements Frequent standing, sitting and walking Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs.

occasional heavier lifting Frequent computer work Work Hazards: Production floor environment will involve possible exposure to materials with rough edges, temperature extremes, moving mechanical parts, occasional flying debris, chemical cleaning solvents and their odors.

Working with cryogenic products will involve possible exposure to pressurized flammable gas, pressurized oxidizing gas, pressurized inert gas and very low temperatures (-320º F). Your Professional Experience Should Be… Required: Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering experience Excellent oral and written communication skills Highly motivated self-starter and a team leader Demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple tasks Understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid flow, structures, mechanics of materials Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, sheet metal fabrication, machining, welding Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel, Teams, Word, Power Point Proven ability to create and modify Solid Works (or Inventor) CAD parts and assemblies and work in PDM Vault environment Preferred: Experience managing and/or developing product lines in small to mid-size companies Understanding of cryogenic liquids, compressed gases, or refrigeration Math CAD or MATLAB skills Experience with JD EDwards, SAP, or similar ERP systems Finite Element Analysis (FEA) skills Chart is an equal opportunity employer
