Regional Operations Department (N254) with the US Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) and the Military Service Components on-island to inform warfighter requirements and Concepts of Operation (CONOP), and provides Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems acquisition, engineering, and integration support to the Department of Defense (DOD) and U.

Job Responsibilities: Contribute to and lead portions of MITRE’s work for US Indo-Pacific Command in Honolulu, Hawaii. The candidate will work closely with sponsors across INDOPACOM to include centers relevant to operations, intelligence, communications, and strategy/plans to holistically support the command’s effort to incrementally implement JADC2 concepts. The candidate must be able to work collaboratively with a local and remote MITRE team demonstrating strong teamwork and cooperation. The selected individual will be expected to work closely with military and civilian government experts from across the command to address their critical mission needs, document operational needs, identify relevant emerging technologies, and create advanced solutions to address mission challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.

These positions will directly support the integration of strategic capabilities within the Indo-Pacific Theater to include capability development of the Joint Fires Network (JFN), Pacific Multi-Domain Training and Experimentation Capability (PMTEC), Mission Partner Environment (MPE), and Storm breaker. These positions will require close collaboration with INDOPACOM Directorates, as well as the Service Components (PACFLT, PACAF, MARFORPAC, and USARPAC) on island.

Selected candidates will demonstrate the following: Strategic Leadership. Define and guide strategic objectives and daily execution of support to USINDOPACOM. Ensure FFRDC appropriate impactful tasks are defined, and meaningful data driven products are developed in a timely and relevant manner. Actively collaborate with other projects supporting related sponsors to ensure maximum value and impact across MITRE’s sponsors. Domain / Technical competence. Demonstrate strong familiarity and skill in one or more of the following areas: (1) Joint Command and Control, including Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2); (2) C4 Enterprise Modernization / Resilient Communications; or (3) Joint, combined, and all-domain fires.
