Demonstrate expertise in the mechanical and methodical design of structural frame-supported piping systems. Select and size mechanical components based on process design criteria. Collaborate with engineers and clients to accurately represent the desired design characteristics. Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabrication, assembly, and component installation. Create detailed
and outline designs through standard drafting procedures. Interface with external vendors for component selection and provide manufacturing and assembly instructions.
Ensure system and product quality by designing testing methods, conducting product and system tests, and confirming the effectiveness of fabrication, assembly, and installation processes. Specify system components or recommend product modifications to meet engineering design and performance specifications based on testing results. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. Seek external resources to assist in implementing operating procedures, resolving system malfunctions, and
obtaining technical support and information. Qualifications Preferred education: Mechanical Engineering with drafting experience, and a preference for experience in the water industry.
Proficiency in 3D Auto CAD. Experience in direct collaboration with vendors for component sizing and selection. Ability to perform calculations for stress, deflection, pipe size, pipe pressure drop, pump, and valve sizing. Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, etc. Strong written communication skills for preparing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Effective oral communication skills for presenting information and responding to inquiries from managers, clients, customers, etc.
