As a Maintenance Technician I, you will perform manual and semi-skilled work in the care and maintenance of assigned City equipment, facilities, and grounds. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Clean and make minor repairs to walls, windows, doors, and floors.

Straighten up work areas and move furniture, materials, and supplies. Pick up trash, run sweepers, clean shelters, restrooms, elevators, and stairs. Purchase, pick up, and deliver supplies, parts, and materials. Operate a variety of standard power tools and equipment in grounds and building maintenance and repair activities. Perform preventative maintenance and make minor repairs to appliances, vehicles, and electrical fixtures.

Assist in the maintenance, repair, and/or replacement of plumbing, heating, ventilation, and electrical fixtures and systems. Conduct general maintenance on facilities and grounds, including painting, concrete repair, sign maintenance, mowing, and snow/ice removal.

Perform basic troubleshooting and emergency actions related to the Parking Utilities' Parking Access and Revenue Control System (PARCS) equipment and software for positions assigned to Parking Utility. Knowledge of universal precautions and sterilization techniques and ability to follow CDC guidelines in cleaning equipment.

Ability to monitor the patient for adverse reactions and take appropriate action. Ability to operate the equipment to perform standard and routine highly specialized procedures including exercise stress testing. GS-7 MIT (EKG) Experience. At least one year of experience comparable to the next lower grade level (GS-6) which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics related to the duties of the positions to be filled. This would be experience which provided knowledge of the equipment, standard tests and procedures, and typical readings including arrhythmias and abnormalities.

AND Demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs): Knowledge of typical patient reactions and signs of distress including the ability to recognize, report and treat potentially lethal arrhythmias. Knowledge of common equipment settings and standardized procedures plus knowledge of common errors and corrective measures. Ability to modify procedures/positions to obtain the correct results with patients with complicating conditions such as amputations, Parkinson's disease, structural defects, and scar tissue.

Assist caterers to ensure food and beverage is set up on time and is presented in a tasteful manner. Knowledgeable on the operation of all audio/visual equipment owned by the hotel. Maintain the security of the conference rooms to assure the assets of the hotel and guests are protected.

Task List Set up conference rooms as specified by the Banquet Event Orders to include proper table chair placement, linens, pad, pen, mint, water glass, water station, break tables, etc. Vacuum carpets, clean window, dust blinds, replace burned out light bulbs, and assure each conference room meets proper cleanliness and Assist clients with specific needs prior to the start of their event. Clean kitchen floors, counters, tables, walls, and equipment and remove trash as needed. Clean the back hall and floors as needed. Stack chairs and tables appropriately along with any other equipment and supplies kept in storage.
