The Training Specialist assists with the implementation of training programs for new and existing Hope employees according to organizational and employee needs. Participates in critiques and provides reports and evaluations to agency management. Reviews federal training and exercise evaluation reports and recommends responses. Assists State agencies and local government in correcting weaknesses identified during exercises for the purpose or recovery.
4. Attends classes, seminars, workshops, and conferences related to disaster recovery. Conducts programs and makes presentations to organizations with specific interest in recovery programs both in and out of state. 5. Participates in disaster response and recovery activities. 6. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications 1. Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with coursework in planning, business or public administration.
2. Requires two (2) years of professional experience in various planning areas, such as regional urban or management planning. Preferred Qualifications 1. Two (2) years of professional experience in emergency management or closely related field. 2. One (1) year of professional experience in conducting training or creating training content. 3. One (1) year of professional experience in creating plans, procedures, and policies. 4. One (1) year of professional experience of basic statistical methods, graphics, and report preparation. 5.
