What You'll get to Do: We are looking for a Software Engineer and technical leader experienced in Java (as your primary and most skilled in Object-Orientated programming language) who wants to work on an agile development team using modern development practices tackling both new development and operational support of systems that advance National Security. Our Aurora campus

has numerous programs in all phases on the development and operational lifecycle, from smaller single scrum team efforts to larger multi-team efforts, some that leverage remote teams from other Northrop Grumman sites.

Many of our programs are using a micro-service event driven architecture using Docker Containers, Kubernetes, Helm charts and AWS services. Programs also in Operations have maintenance and sustainment engineering needs on existing deployed baselines which may require troubleshooting and programming in C++/C. Many programs have a mixture of other languages in use such as C++, Python or Java Script. This need is specifically for an internal product line project which is used on no less than four other NG programs, and expanding.

About our organization: As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll be joining our growing Aurora Software and Digital Engineering department which has 200+ Software Engineer, Dev Ops Engineer, Systems Administrator, Database Administrator, and Network Engineer peers from entry-level to the most senior chief engineers and architects. Staff Software Engineers are expected to be leaders, role-models, and mentors to less-experienced staff. Staff Software Engineers typically get into informal and formal technical leadership roles within their programs, as applicable and per interest.

We have plenty of opportunity for career advancement into higher level technical roles or leadership positions. Our Software Department is part of a larger organization that includes Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test staff as well as a Hardware Engineering unit. The responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following: Oversee classified security programs and provide expertise in all security functions in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program

Operating Manual (NISPOM), and other applicable security regulations and requirements.

Ensure compliance with government and corporate security policies/procedures. Provide facility security support (alarms, access control systems, cameras), documentation, and management support: implement Security Standard Practices and Procedures (SPP); Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); security self-inspections; manage inventory of accountable holdings in accordance with the policies and procedures; prepare and submit status reports to applicable government agencies; administer and manage classified destruction program; Maintain accountability of classified material.

Serve as the focal point for receiving, processing, distributing, and controlling all classified documentation (hard copy and electronic media) entering or leaving the facility. Oversee the construction of open storage areas to ensure security requirements are met; interpret architectural drawings coordinate access with the general contractor, vendors, and subcontractors. Serve as the Lock and Key Representative for the facility. Manage and maintain UL-2050 Compliant Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and automated Access Control Systems (ACS).

Develop, document, and present security education, training, and awareness (SETA) activities. Analyze, investigate, and resolve classified security issues while providing leadership and guidance to employees, supervisors, and managers on actions(s) to be taken to ensure compliance with the classified security program. Maintain liaison and good working relationships with government agencies, external customers, contractors, employees, and managers. Generate and/or review Program Access Request (PAR) or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) nomination packages; ensure all required information is included including currency of information, completeness of forms, and inclusion of required signatures.

Generate Program Indoctrination Agreements (PIA), provide to briefer/debriefer, and/or execute briefs/debriefs on behalf of the government security team. Track accesses in the SIMS database. Basic Qualifications : Candidate must be a US Citizen, have active and current minimum Interim Top-Secret clearance. Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant security experience. In lieu of a degree, seven years of relevant experience may be considered.

In lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of experience may be considered. Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point). Experience working with the Security Information Management System (SIMS). Experience interpreting architectural drawings and knowledge of construction techniques and processes. Strong working knowledge of Department of Defense (Do D) security requirements and the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). Demonstrated, relevant security experience with industrial security programs within the Do D.

Experience implementing multiple security disciplines to include Personnel, Physical, and Operations Security programs and requirements. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, make decisions amid ambiguity and meet deadlines. Strong leadership skills to include being a self-starter that can deliver results with minimal supervision and functions with high ethical standards. Ability to display tact, discretion, and diplomacy in dealing with all levels of employees and customers. Experience managing dozens of cores and keys for a large facility, familiarity with changing combinations and maintaining accurate records.

Must be organized and efficient at time management. Perform other security duties in support of security operations as assigned. As a  Mid-Level Interior Designer , you will… Perform interior design/architectural assignments with general direction, no immediate supervision, and work independently as well as collaboratively with others toward design solutions. Assist in developing design and technical solutions for projects in all phases, including graphics, renderings, and performance metrics for the successful communication of the design goals Provide production of design drawings, presentation drawings, and digital models in support of design teams.

Have a passion for programming, planning, materiality, detailing, and furnishings. Research products and materials, review existing projects, and those under construction

to inform the production of design documentation. Assist in the project’s narrative for meeting building performance goals, including metrics, verification, and design integration.

Contribute to the effective performance of the Project Team regarding project quality, schedule, and budget. Assist in the execution of Construction Administration responsibilities and project close-out. Contribute to general office-wide initiatives and marketing efforts. Demonstrate motivation in seeking new responsibilities and challenges. Help build relationships with clients and consultants with team leaders. Supervision and mentorship of junior staff. Qualifications: A professional Interior Design or Architectural

degree and 5-10 years of related experience. Highly motivated, proactive, and passionate.

Well-organized and detail-oriented. Excellent team communication skills, design presentation, and storytelling skills. Experience detailing and execution of construction documents with minimal supervision. Experience with complex multi-phased higher education, healthcare, and/or corporate workplace projects is desired. Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Rhino, Sketch-Up, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office. Furniture specification experience preferred. Certified or licensed professionals with LEED, WELL, or FITWEL accreditation are preferred.
