Responsibilities: Design and develop software solutions throughout the full development life cycle, including testing, implementation, and auditing. Execute, backss, and troubleshoot software programs and applications, addressing errors in a timely and accurate fashion. Develop microservices using Spring Boot, Spring REST, Web API, Spring JDBC, and Spring Security. Work with serverless tools such as Azure Application Services, Azure, and Service Fabric. Utilize Dev Ops tools like Azure Dev Ops, Docker, Kubernetes, and Library Management tools. Implement CI/CD using Azure pipelines. Demonstrate proficiency in SQL, including experience with SQL Server, SQL Profiler, etc. Manage complexities of Project and Software Development Life Cycle
Methodologies. Ensure responsive design and understanding of mobile-first design principles.
Knowledge of industry-standard custom web portals. Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience. Minimum 6 years of Java Full Stack development experience. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, AJAX, JScript, Angular 2+, CSS Pre-compilers (LESS or SASS), REST Services using JSON and AJAX, and Spring Boot. Experience in building scalable and resilient applications in private or public cloud environments. Familiarity with Dev Ops tools, CI/CD pipelines, and serverless architecture. Hands-on experience in Azure web application development and integrations.

This position will function as the lead engineer on projects for the state DOT and other local agency / municipal clients. Provides support to technical staff, engineers, and project managers for planning, design, and construction of infrastructure projects and systems in the public and private sector.
You will participate in civil/highway projects, performing tasks in a variety of areas. The position will focus on transportation and roadway design; however, projects will include a combination of disciplines that you will coordinate to assure successful project delivery to clients in a project management setting. Your Impact With minimal supervision, assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the physical work site, surveys, blueprints, GIS data, subsurface utility information, maps, geotechnical data, and other matrices for project development, design, and construction. Perform basic professional civil engineering work relating to conducting research and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, resources, building, infrastructure, and transportation
channels to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, and construction or operating permits.
Assist with the development of technologies, monitoring devices, modeling techniques, design requirements, and operating strategies to account for the safety and functionality of end-users, transportation vehicles/systems, and incorporate future-ready solutions with civil engineering design standards. Assist with verifying the characteristics of a site and providing technical assistance on various engineering, design, and construction issues. Write technical reports summarizing research with findings and conclusions, generating complete, accurate, and concise documentation using sketches, calculations, electronic systems, spreadsheets, and software.
Assist technical staff and project managers with risk identification and backssment, offering input and analysis with design concepts, construction, mitigation and improvement activities, and remediation projects. Work with cross-functional teams in executing project work. Complete training on assigned tasks. Work collaboratively with other engineers and planners on projects with infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, and locally funded improvement and development projects. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Who You Are Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or closely related discipline. 1 to 3 years of relevant post education experience. Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues. Familiarity with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management.
Familiarity with relevant civil construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements. Analytical mindset with an ability to exercise sound judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience. Capable self-leadership with attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment. Ability to work as part of a team to meet business objectives.
Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, technology, spreadsheets, and tools. Experience with discipline-specific design software (i. e. Micro Station, Auto CAD, Civil 3D, Arc GIS, In Roads, Geopak, Geo Slope, ANSYS, STADD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS). Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek. Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Civil Engineering Engineer in Training Certification. CDOT and/or municipal design experience. Compensation Expected Salary: $72,200 - $99,300 WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's interaction or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
