Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The Software Developer II supports the design, engineering, analysis, and development of software systems. They assist in designing, analyzing, and developing software delivery processes, including development and operations (Dev Ops) pipelines.

They support modeling and analyzing software development and deployment processes as well as development of Agile processes, plans, and architectures to support software development, analysis, and operations. The Software Developer II is a journeyman experienced in all aspects of IT application development.

The Software Developer II takes direction from more senior personnel. Minimum Experience: 4 years of related experience Minimum Education: BS/BA Allowed Experience Exchange: HS and 8 years of experience; Associates and 6 years of experience Allowed Education Exchange: A candidate holding a relevant Masters’ degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education.

Security Clearance Requirements: Top Secret with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%. Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $77,000-$129,200. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. This position will function as the lead engineer on projects for the state DOT and other local agency / municipal clients. Provides support to technical staff, engineers, and project managers for planning, design, and construction of infrastructure projects and systems in the public and private sector.

You will participate in civil/highway projects, performing tasks in a variety of areas. The position will focus on transportation and roadway design; however, projects will include a combination of disciplines that you will coordinate to assure successful project delivery to clients in a project management setting. You will develop your engineering expertise as well as have opportunities

Your Impact With minimal supervision, assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the physical work site, surveys, blueprints, GIS data, subsurface utility information, maps, geotechnical data, and other matrices for project development, design, and construction. Perform basic professional civil engineering work relating to conducting research and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, resources, building, infrastructure, and transportation

channels to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, and construction or operating permits.

Assist with the development of technologies, monitoring devices, modeling techniques, design requirements, and operating strategies to account for the safety and functionality of end-users, transportation vehicles/systems, and incorporate future-ready solutions with civil engineering design standards. Assist with verifying the characteristics of a site and providing technical assistance on various engineering, design, and construction issues. Write technical reports summarizing research with findings and conclusions, generating complete, accurate, and concise documentation using sketches, calculations, electronic systems, spreadsheets, and software.

Assist technical staff and project managers with risk identification and backssment, offering input and analysis with design concepts, construction, mitigation and improvement activities, and remediation projects. Work with cross-functional teams in executing project work. Complete training on assigned tasks. Work collaboratively with other engineers and planners on projects with infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, and locally funded improvement and development projects. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Who You Are Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or closely related discipline. 1 to 3 years of relevant post education experience. Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues. Familiarity with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management.

Familiarity with relevant civil construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements. Analytical mindset with an ability to exercise sound judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience. Capable self-leadership with attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment. Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, technology, spreadsheets, and tools. Experience with discipline-specific design software (i. e.
