The Microsoft Silicon Engineering Team is seeking passionate, driven and intellectually curious Principal Front End (FE) Computer aided Design (CAD) Manager to join our Central Front-End Tools, Flows and Methodology CAD team. This team drives state-of-the-art converged software
solutions, automation, and quality assurance checks across front-end areas such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), SCM, Register Transfer Level (RTL) Design, Design Verification, Validation, Emulation and Intellectual Property (IP) integration.
This team supports numerous simultaneous projects within Microsoft by developing workflows and software for our design engineers so that they can deliver cutting-edge silicon solutions for Microsoft. Qualifications: Required/Minimum Qualifications 9+ years of related technical engineering experience o OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years technical
engineering experience or internship experience o OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience o OR Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience.
8+ years of experience in silicon design or CAD tool development. 2+ years of experience in people management. Familiarity in the end-to-end silicon design process in most of these areas: Logic design, Design Verification, Design for Test (DFT), Validation, Emulation, Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) prototyping, Static Tools, Synthesis, Design Integration, Design Libraries, Gate Level Simulation, Verilog Generators, and Low Power design.

Experience with interfacing into datacenters to launch massive job regressions, collect and view results. 10+ years of experience in silicon design or CAD tool development. Experience administering complex source code security systems to meet corporate legal requirements. Experience architecting complex software solutions that are secure, scalable and robust. Experience with CI/CD, and integration into SCM systems. Preferably Azure Dev Ops and Git. Experience in Agile software development methodologies.
Silicon Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U. S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
