STUDENT STAFF TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT: Work closely with the Assistant Director for Recruitment & Training, Housing staff, and campus partners to develop and implement training and development strategies for all student staff positions; coordinate and implement all aspects of training and development processes in compliance with Human Resources, Departmental, and Divisional rules and regulations.

Provide oversight of training content development, learning system

management, instructional design, curriculum development, as well as scheduling, logistics, implementation, and backssment of learning. SUPERVISION: Serve as the direct supervisor for a graduate assistant; administer all personnel procedures (hiring, time sheets, documentation, and performance reviews); formulate staff work and meeting schedules.

ADMINISTRATION & COMMUNICATION: Maintain accurate staff rosters; develop and maintain systems and procedures which ensure efficiency; inform housing staff and students of procedures and regulations related to recruitment and training on campus, in the community, or in the region; oversee administrative responsibilities within the functional area.

STUDENT SUPPORT & ADVISING: Serve as the advisor for the Student Staff Advisory Council made up of representatives from all student staff positions within University Housing; serve as the delegation advisor for the annual FRAS conference; engage in regular interaction with students and staff to be aware of their issues and concerns; actively identify and support student staff that need greater attention and/or resources.

DEPARTMENTAL REPRESENTATION: Serve on Departmental and/or Divisional committees/workgroups; assist with Departmental initiatives; assist in coordination, implementation, and evaluation of annual surveys. Qualifications Master's degree in higher education administration, student personnel, counseling or related field on or before January 1, 2024, and have full-time or graduate housing/residence life experience in college/university setting required.

Responsible for the integration of computers, printers, networks, and software. This includes monitoring and maintaining systems operations and coordinating efforts to pursue resolution of problems associated with computer systems, printing systems, networks, and software at COAPS.

Assists in the development, maintenance, security, and design of COAPS' web properties. Serves as Unit ISM (Information Security Manager) and maintains the unit's information security program according to the policy and guidelines promulgated by the Information Security and Privacy Office (ISPO). Reports suspected

or confirmed computer and privacy incidents to the ISPO. Serves as liaison for the unit with the ISPO and ensures all unit staff receive information security and privacy training in coordination with the Unit Privacy Coordinator.

Responsible for the design and implementation of procedures and controls which help maintain network security at COAPS. Manages complex TCP/IP network devices that include wireless APs and switches. Responsible for major network issues and repairs that may occur after normal business hours, including on holidays and weekends. Works with tools, systems, and internal/external entities in detecting network security breaches and the illegal use of network resources.

Assists in the management of advanced systems that include cloud, server, application, and client software/hardware computing by participating in the decision-making process for procurement and setup of technology.

Assists in the creation of business and technical policies and procedures related to technologies and the use thereof. Assist in interpreting and implementing computing policies set forth by faculty and researchers that affect all users. Designs and leverages automated solutions that apply the effective use of progressive technology to continually improve and streamline operations. Participates in Disaster Recovery Planning by developing, editing, and reviewing documentation relating to information technology policies and procedures and ensures conformance with established standards.

Responsible for technology support COAPS meeting and conference rooms. This includes overhead/rear projectors and projector screens, remote meeting/participation devices, and digital displays/signage. Assists in the setup of IT equipment in support of COAPS' open house and outreach events. Assists in the development of project plans and proposals that include IT technologies in the budget needs. Serves a Property Custodian for COAPS. Responsible for taking inventory of attractive items and capital assets.

Trains and supervises OPS employees. Make recommendations and coordinate vehicle rotation to maximize fleet utilization. Supervise staff in processing requisitions for the replacement of equipment. Manage the administration requirements for the fuel card purchasing program and mobile equipment. These requirements are supervising subordinate in ordering and issuing of fuel cards and Personal Identification Numbers (PIN)numbers.

Review all requisitions/quotes for accuracy. Review delivery of vehicles for compliance with specifications as bid. Make recommendations for vehicles found not to be within specifications. Assist in processing purchases as directed. Coordinate repairs with Gainesville Operations Shop to ensure that all FDOT equipment is being repaired in a timely and cost-effective manner. Assisting in scheduling workloads to help shop keep from being overloaded. Aid management in tracking all related costs of preventative maintenance programs at SMO and make recommendations on improving the overall program.

Monitor all warranty work on vehicles and track manufacturer's recall notices to ensure vehicles are operating in an efficient and safe manner. Provides on-the-job training and coordinates the training of employees on safety related activities within assigned areas. Prepares, maintains, and submits training reports. Assists in the development of Individual Training Plans to ensure that each employee in assigned area is properly trained to comply with the various industrial safety and health programs.

Oversees the SMO Hazardous Waste and ensures regulatory compliance. Responsible for proper disposal of all hazardous materials. Inspects hazardous materials storage areas to ensure that fire protection is adequate. Ensures that employees in assigned areas are properly trained in the selection and use of personal protective equipment and supervisors have trained their subordinates in the use of Safety Data Sheets. Coordinates hazardous material spill response, including containment of spilled hazardous material; notification of authorities; evacuation of non-essential personnel; and the cleanup and disposal of the contaminated material.
