Takatori tape tools. The position requires all assigned equipment meets or exceeds manufacturers specs, create maintenance procedures and schedules, manage new tool installs and start ups, interface with Process Engineering and OEM vendors.

Provide and assist with training the technician work force to perform all PM procedures on assigned tools and ensure that all safety specifications are adhered to. Major Responsibilities / Activities The Equipment Engineer is ultimately responsible for all availability metrics of assigned equipment set, such as Availability, MTBF/MTTR and equipment yield rates as well as any continuous improvement projects to gain better efficiency and yield. Repair,

maintenance, and sustaining of assigned equipment as required. System upgrades and engineering hardware changes to improve proc and equip.

Set up and monitor appropriate diagnostic tools such as FDC or SPC to track equipment performance, Managing and tracking spare parts and materials usage costs. Specifying and updating PM procedures. Tracking and improving system cycle time. Tracking and improving system uptime. Installation-deinstallation, layout, and decommission of process systems as needed. Collaborate with process eng and production as necessary to sustain, improve, and resolve area issues. Continually update education internally and externally as required.

May be asked to provide sustained support (weekends, nights etc) on tools that have been escalated to a high priority level. Minimum Requirements BS degree or equivalent years of experience is required. Equivalent may consist of trade school experience, military background or OEM training on relevant equipment. Also must have a background in semiconductor manufacturing and direct job experience in excess of 5 years.
