The plant operator is responsible for the efficient working condition of plant equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) Reads work schedules and determines sequence of operations. Operates plant according to production schedule using appropriate materials. Monitor material operation to ensure quality of
mix. Performs basic maintenance and service on plant as required. Ability to weld using an arc welder or cutting torch is preferred. Cleans control house and yard facility daily.
Enters production information into computer systems. Other duties as assigned per supervisor. May be subject to drug testing, medical exams and physical agility testing. Operate equipment safely and efficiently. Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging. Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor. Keep time and material records. Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications. Knowledge of weight requirements of loads leaving the pit. Qualifications To perform
