Maintain a friendly and helpful manner at all times. Direct customers to the appropriate estimator or specialist for their needs. Become familiar with store products and their location. Complete sales, take payments, process returns; identify defective
products. Complete small special orders or requests for non-stock items. Help with scheduling deliveries and equipment rental reservations. Assist with inventory receiving and cycle counting as needed.
Maintain product pricing and displays on the retail floor; tag items on sale or promotion. Keep displays clean, organized, and attractive in appearance. Stock shelves and catalog displays as needed. Handle customer complaints in a positive and constructive manner. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR. Previous experience working with building materials and supplies helpful. You are comfortable with computers and learning new software. You can get up to speed quickly and gain a solid understanding of most products within 1 year of hire.
