Reports To Plumbing Superintendent Job Responsibilities Installs new mechanical equipment such as pumps, relief valves, recirculation pumps, coils, isolation valves, 3-way valves, and condensate traps. Sets up hydronic heating and cooling systems, along with their associated

controls. Constructs and welds piping and equipment supports, brackets, and guides.

Assembles and prepares piping that requires welded connections. Collaborates with other skilled trades. Repairs plumbing and hydronic heating systems. Conducts filter replacements on hydronic heating systems and control air units. Occasionally provides guidance to others, including training. Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirements. Measures, cuts, and shapes pipes using hand and power tools. Welds, brazes, cements, solders, and threads joints to connect pipes and create sections of the piping system. Mounts supports, valves, and piping.

Tests the system for leaks using specialized equipment. Cleans and maintains pipe components and fittings and flushes the system. Removes and replaces worn-out components and restores the system to functionality. Performs additional duties as necessary.
